Uhhhh... Holy smokes is that expensive; what the heck? I heard Golden was crap anyway, but still... I think these are the same folks who released Kill la Kill in the US and wanted a massive amount for that as well. Especially since it isn't dubbed, I don't understand why they're charging so much, even with the extras.

Guess I'll watch this one online as well. Too bad... I really love the English cast.

Seriously, that is asking way to much, even more so because it doesn't come with the already existing official dub.

BTW, nice mad mod.
So I got Persona 4 AU Arena Ultimax. If anyone wants to give it a go, by all means message me. My name on PSN is the same as it is here, but do send me a pm if you want send a friend request so I know it's you. If not, maybe I'll just luck into finding some of you while I'm online. I won't be very good though, I'm still trying to figure out what guard works on moves and how to counter better.
I am feeling kind of bummed right now. I'm looking at all these Persona figures and they all ship from Japan, which means major extra bucks to get one sent to me.
Yep, saw a Cordelia from Fire Emblem figure on the cheap. Until you check shipping...

I saw a 30 dollar teddy figure that shipped for 17 bucks. That's way too much.
I'm playing Persona 3 again, because I stopped before getting too far, and I'm realizing even as I get into it more, that I'll never like it at much as Persona 4 Golden, and I think the reason for that is the side characters. In Persona 4, they had characters I really liked but in 3, the characters start off as someone I like, and then start getting annoying, like Kenji. It's weird as well because so far my favorite character in the whole game is Yuko, and I have a feeling at some point that Chihiro will become interesting as well. Also, and I know I said this when I started playing these games, but I don't like the re-using of some voice actors. The worst one so far was using Karen Strassman with play a bully character who changes her ways for no given reason, while using Nanako's voice. That voice work perfectly for a little girl, but a for 16 or 17 year old, it's just odd. This game is overall is giving me mixed feelings, and not in a good way. Persona 4 never did that.
I just beat the story of Persona 4 Dancing All Night. I gotta say, I really hope this isn't the end of the Persona 4 character's role in this universe. I want to see them again in more stories and games. They are seriously becoming my favorite group of characters in gaming. I hope we got something like another Persona Q game with them and P5 and a few fighting games like P4 Arena just so they can keep popping up. I want them to stay a part of gaming as long as is possible.
First Shin Megami Tensei game is beaten (not counting Catherine (which is not connected to the series out side of cameos on both sides) or the Arena games): P3P: Persona 3 Portable. I'm going to say this now, I prefer FES. Not because it's a better game, but just that I like it better.

If I have to summarize: If you like Danganronpa's map traversion, an easier RPG, all of your party as SLinks, the removal of the tired party members, and the ability to control your party in battle, you may like P3P. If you want 3D models over a virtual novel, The ability to play The Answer, and just don't care for the changes in Portable or don't own a way to play it, play FES. It really just comes down to whither you like one over the other. The only game you don't need to play is vanilla P3.

I kinda liked the game, but the last two months dragged on since there's next to nothing to do in December and January is used more for getting everything ready for the final battle. I wanted to go on to play Persona 4 to hype myself for Persona 5, but I think I'll wait a while before diving into another one.

Reminds me of this:

Persona 5 in 5 days. :)
Imma be honest, I'd be okay with a version of Persona 4 with no time skips. There are some really interesting social links I didn't get to complete due to time restraints. I had to play the game twice as it was because I accidentally got the bad ending and saved, which I think I mentioned here, so I got most of them done, but I did do a few over again. Besides all that, P4 is good enough to deserve it honestly. It's one of the best RPG's I've ever played, and I can be pretty picky sometimes.
So anyone have any thoughts on P5 yet? I'm honestly having a hard time agreeing with reviews that give it a perfect score or say that it's better than 3 or 4. The characters just, aren't as likable as they were in those titles. I still like the game a lot, but I feel like it's lacking in some bits.
Yeah it's a different approach compared to the more bright and upbeat attitude of P4. But man I am really enjoying this game.

It's not just P4. P3 was pretty dark a lot of the time, and I still liked those characters a bit more than P5's. Maybe by the end I'll like them that much more, but with 3 and 4, I liked the characters almost right away, it's not really the case with 5. 1 and 2's characters were also about the level as P5, but this battle's in P5 are the best of the series so far, so that carries it quite nicely.
Well now I for sure can't give it a perfect score. With no warning whatsoever, I am stuck where I'm at and the only to get out of there, is to either grind for hours on end, or try and luck my way through it. Forcing someone to be in an area like that is bad game design in this day and age. Even giving me three days to get through it would have worked better than this, and what more, I know enough about Persona to know that it's probably the final boss, so I have to get through several areas where are tons of enemies that I cannot take the time to kill if I want to be strong enough to fight said boss(es), so just screw me I guess. Also if I'm right about this being the ending to the game, that means I have to go several hours without saving and the time I have to handle everything about the game is less than any previous title my "year" is not really true, and I'm pretty sure I'm going for the best ending here, I'm taking this as far as it can go. I have played this game for over 100 hours and if I'm right, and this is how the ending is playing out, I'm sorely disappointed.
