We all know that the Happy Mask Salesman is in the original OOT so that itself is not a reference to Majora's Mask, but the developers DID add some things in his shop that are.

When you first enter his shop you will see masks on stands on each side.

Most of these masks are actually the masks that he has on his backpack in Majora's Mask! (The ""Mario" Mask is on the right side and is behind a small mirror but is hard to see.)

And Speaking of his backpack...guess what's in the Background when you talk to him!

Is this just in the 3DS remake? I really want to know if they have it in the orignal.

The Masks and Backpack are only in the 3DS version.
They were probably added to further connet OOT & Majora's Mask.

A comparison picture would make for a nice attachment to the trivia entry.
