I love how both films don't follow the games that well, neither are liked by the fans, and (spoiler for if you really want to see the anime one)
Mario doesn't get the girl in ether one.
Now if only we could have lost the live action one like they did the anime one.

I liked the anime movie. I mean it wasn't the greatest thing ever, but it was a decent movie. It's leagues better than the live-action movie, but then again, that's not saying much.
I liked the live action movie as a kid... I mean, it IS a kid's movie.

I watched it a few times. I nit picked the things they got wrong the first time, Tryed to find the references the second time, and now I just turn my brain off and enjoy it as a bad movie, like you do a MST3K movie.
I loved the movie as a kid. Though I haven't watched it since then... which may be a good thing.
Nothing will ever beat the Super Mario Bros Super Show end credits. "Wave your arms... from side to side. Come on it's time to go, do the MARIO !"
Especially the end, when he kind of stumbles. Like, they didn't have the budget to do a second take.

XD
Did you know this man was a professional wrestler, it's Lou Albano.
I ALWAYS laugh when I see that stumble, it is the funniest thing.
