Yeah, that was a thing. The weird part is, it was a thing only in China. And no, it's not some random pirate of the PS version converted to PC, it was an actual official release from Capcom. They went as far as rebuilding the game on a different engine and the light gun was changed to mouse aiming. However, the game was riddled with bugs and glitches including lacking AI scripts.

It apparently was supposed to be released at least in Japan and Europe but that never happened. They most likely just saw it as a lost cause. Currently it's nigh impossible to come by an original copy of the Chinese release leading my hunt for it last forever.

What a random place to have an exclusive version of a game. I mean when was the last time you heard of a game that was only released in China that wasn't a bootleg or pirate.
