So James L. Avery, Sr. AKA Uncle Phil AKA Shredder, has died today due complications following surgery for an undisclosed ailment. It's a little weird thinking that someone who I grew up watching is dead.

RIP Mr. Avery. You can dine on turtle soup in the here after.

That's a shame. I was hoping he and Will Smith would do something together again.

I'll admit, I teared up a little bit to this news. Absolutely loved Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. :(
