Boss battles are usually the good parts of games. Sometimes, they're not, although they have very great themes.
What would you say is your favorite boss theme? You can count final boss themes as well since they're also unique.
Mine is always this:
This may be a cliche choice, but it's so good:
And also, I loved all the Sonic Adventure and later Sonic Adventure DX soundtrack, but this was great. I know everyone has always been so used to electronic video game music, and while many went with orchestral themes once newer gen consoles came into play... SEGA was just all like, "Sonic game will come out on the Dreamcast. Metal music should work."
Edit: Back to Sonic Adventure, the main theme technically DID play in the perfect Chaos fight, so...
This is one of my favourites:
RULES OF NATURE, SON.
Standing here was pretty good too.
I'd post more if I'd remember some, haha.
Here are a few favorites of boss music, in no particular order
pAroxizm OH YES!
Gotta agree with Retrolinkx thought. That soundtrack is amazing.
RULES OF NATURE! It's a meme too, the heck?
Gonna have to post one of my favourites:
Amazing boss battle with a theme I really liked.
For a more upbeat fast theme that really captures the essence of the game, it's gotta be Vergils theme 2:
Sonic and the Black Knight - With Me (Final Boss)
Kingdom Hearts - Guardiano Nel Buio
Yoshi's Island - Final Boss
A few personal faves (that haven't been mentioned yet)
Okami - Rising Sun
Kingdom Hearts II - Tension Rising
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure - Kaos
Always a classic in my opinion:
I'll Face Myself from Persona 4
And Yell Dead Cell from MGS2
Death hath fallen upon us.
