Ypine then looked over towards Kwon.
"I like that you question about me using magic to save ourselves, but don't question where that mech came from."
Kwon chuckled slightly. "It doesn't matter, anyway."
Ypine then stated "You know, that this means there is a real chance your little buddy is here."
Kwon's eyes immediately started burning with anger "THAT BASTARD IS NO LITTLE BUDDY OF MINE! WHEN I SEE THAT LITTLE CRETIN AGAIN, I'MMA GOING TO..."
Suddenly, a new voice behind them asked "Going to do what, old man?"
Wei and Ypine turned around to see a young, tall nomad standing behind them. He was covered with layers of cloth, most likely to protect him from the infamous sandstorms of the desert. He brushed his long, dark hair out of the way and said to them, "I've been searching for you for a while now, Ypine. But now that I've finally found you, I can do what I've been waiting to do for all of these years."
He slowly unzipped Ypine's pants"I'm sorry?" replied Ypine.
"I've been searching for you for-"
"We got that... Only, you've been trying to exact revenge on Kwon for years, so I find it bizarre that you suddenly threaten me."
Kwon edged away from his partner, whose fingers had started twitching.
"You don't understand, do you," came the young man's cool reply. "In my eyes, you travel as one and you stand as one. It would only be logical therefore that you fall as one."
Ypine looked at him and then said " Just join us, Dmitri. We're going to be destroying demons. Good chance to use your mechs"
"No thanks, it's been years since I waited the this day. I can't wait to-"
Then he fell over dead as Kwon shot him.
"Pesky little bugger".
"You could have at least let him finish his sentence. But let us hurry to Frapcious.
[New arbitrary and despotic SERIOUSLY rule -- if two people do not reply in under 6 hours, you may reply after only one.]
Leaving the body behind, the pair headed towards the distant spires.
If Dmitri had hoped to hunker down in eternal rest, he was sorely mistaken. The extremities of his body spasmed, twitching as if shocked by lightning. Ypine glanced back at the now animate corpse. But his expression was not that of shock. No. He gave a wry smile as his fingers weaved around.
"Dmitri, my poor lad," he thought to himself, "I'm sorry but your journey is far from over."
The sun set as the two men walked. Time itself seemed trivial in such barren places. The winds were inlaid with particulates too quick to discern and the night grew sharply cold. The dark spires of Frapcious fell into the scenery of the black night, and the stars illuminated the sand, reflecting upon it an ominous blue glow that seemed to follow their steps.
The worst had yet to come.
"Shit, what now?" Said Dmitri.
"Wanna have sex?" Replied Ypine.
"Nah, I don't feel like it now."
And so they ventured off to the yellow abyss to find any help, not knowing what horrors were upon them.
CHAPTER 2: SANDY BOOGALOO
"Yesus East, What the fuck's that?" said Dmitri as he woke up from his deep sleep.
Ypine woke up from his bizarre dream where Dmitri had suddenly come back alive and refused sex, then woken up as Dmitri.
Kwon was awake, looking through his glass at the spires. Without turning, he said, "I don't know what manner of half-demon we will be up against, but they don't seem to be able to climb stairs."
He handed the glass to Ypine. Sure enough, forms were attempting to swarm up a spire, falling off almost instantly. Ypine turned the glass towards the top of the tower and gasped.
"There are people up there. We have to reach Frapcious as soon as we can."
After a hasty breakfast, the pair took off again towards Frapcious, only a few hours seperating them from the city walls.
"What's that in the distance?" Kwon said, pointing to a tiny blip on the horizon.
"I dunno. Let's check it out." Said Ypine.
They walked as fast as they could, curious as to see what it is. When they finally approached it, they saw a concrete building. It looked new, but abandoned. A sign read "I.P.F OUTPOST #082".
"An army outpost!" said a curious Ypine. "Should we go in? It doesn't look like anyone's in there."
Kwon looked on the inside...
"Well, we're a half mile away from what may be the biggest fight of our lives. What type of supplies.."
He was cut short by a very loud "GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGH!!!"
"Holy cow, what was that?" shouted Kwon.
"Oh, that was just zombie Dmitri. It looks like he's finally catching up. I zombiefied him using my magic."
"You... made him a ZOMBIE!?! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!"
"Simple, nothing makes a better meat shield than an undead slave. It's for protection."
"Ypine, you disgust me sometimes."
"Don't worry, we're in agreement on that" said the zombie in a slow, growling voice.
"Alright, Alright, Alright, should we go in or not?"
"Fine, but we should let zombie Dmitri in first to see if there's anything inside."
"Fair Enough"
Ypine whistled to Dmitri. "Dmitri, go in the building and check for any enemies. If you come back, we'll know it's safe."
"And my reward for that is?" Dmitri mumbled, although with him being a zombie, It sounded more like "Ann muh rewarr for duh is?"
"This." Dmitri replied back as he held an indescribable pink fleshy thing.
"Yessur." And off Dmitri went.
Dmitri only took one step into the outpost before turning around and giving them a thumbs-up.
"I knew it was alright in there." Said Ypine proudly. In less than a second, however, Dmitri was whisked away by something and Wei and Ypine rushed to the door to see what it was. They could see a giant tentacle holding onto Dmitri and pulling him into the darkest corner of the outpost. There was a loud, zombiefied scream, but soon there was a single GULP! and the scream was no more.
"We can't go in there, Ypine. What're we going to do?" Asked Wei.
"Fuck this, let's just go!" Yelled Ypine.
"But we can't just leave Dmitri!"
"He's already dead!"
"Well you don't say!"
"Not undead, idiot, I mean he's Dead dead. Didn't you see him get eaten by that tentacle?"
"Ugh, Touche."
And off they ran, hoping that the tentacle doesn't follow them.
"We can wait for that creature's digestive tract to go full circle, or we can kill it," Ypine replied swiftly, ripping the door of the building from its hinges, setting it ablaze and casting it into the darkness. "Regardless, we need light,".
Wei shook his head in disapproval and replied "We're not getting to the village until page 5 aren't we?"
Ypine turned in confusion inquiring about pages. Apparently Wei started keeping a journal.
(Deer, we're doing that 2 comment thing so mine wins)
"Well, the tentacles gone" Ypine said. "Should we go in?"
"Uhhhh, You should go inside by yourself. I'll just keep watch in case if anyone comes."
"What if something happens to me? How will you know?"
"Just scream really loudly."
"Oh, alright. But if I die, It's all your fault."
Ypine slowly walked into the building.
The entrance room was small but surprisingly clean, considering that a giant tentacle was in here just a few minutes ago. A poster of a planet with text reading "Defend Irvana today! The choice is yours" could be seen from the entrance.
