Still waiting for that Super Mario RPG 3DS port. That would be freaking sweet.
Now that Capcom is bringing some of their older, Nintendo exclusive titles as HD remasters on the rest of the consoles, it would be nice to see them bringing that one other game that was born from an RE project in HD to this day: Onimusha. They could bundle all four main titles from PS2 on one PS3/4 disc. I'd buy that.

Also, though I know Konami is going in a downward spiral right now, it would be sweet if they followed Capcom in releasing at least one of their Nintendo exclusive titles on newer consoles in HD, and that's the Twin Snakes remake of Metal Gear Solid. I only just bought the Metal Gear Legacy Collection but if it really gets me into the series, I wouldn't mind seeing the remake of the classic.

It's best to play the original PS1 MGS and then the Twin Snakes version.

There are many reasons to why the original is the preferred version, I don't mind Twin Snakes but it's not a good on to start off on.

Also, this may sound like a bad idea but if the first game isn't hooking you, play the second and try to play them. I started on the second game and then the third. I didn't understand the beginning of MGS2 but it didn't matter since you played as Raiden for 95% of it.

It's just a suggestion, I doubt I would've enjoyed MGS1 if I jumped right into it like my brother did, he hated MGS1 and also 2 because he didn't like how they played.

I've seen about 90% of the first MGS, including a lot of secrets, being played by my friend who basically speedruns the game. The only Metal Gear game I have played, and owned, previously is Rising but I have a general knowledge on how the games work. Now that I got the Legacy Collection I'm planning on starting from the MSX version of Metal Gear and going through the games in release order. As an aside, I'm a sucker for PS1 games :P I still play RE1-3 regularly.
Fair play.

The MSX game are never referenced after MGS1 however, and if they are it's of very very little importance.

Good to know, though story's not really the reason I'm playing the originals. I've always wanted to play them so them being included in the collection was a nice bonus.

The timeline will certainly confuse the hell outta me at some point, though.
