I got this off IMGUR so if anyone could confirm this.

From the Reddit post - "Resident evil 3 original prologue sequence was scrapped, so this didn't made[sic] it into the final game."

Would be very interesting if true !

Makes me wonder if it was in the game files. We've got stuff on the site for similar reasons before.

I know of only one site that has that image but it's all in Portuguese.

It's about halfway through the page, you'll find the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis title screen in there and those are right under it. There seems to be an alternate version of the picture too.

If no one here can translate that, I can ask my friend to do it.


EDIT: I asked around and it seems that even though some of the other beta files can be hacked in the game with Gameshark there still is no indication to where these pictures came form. If someone has Gameshark and RE3 they could check if the images are still on the disc :P


According to the video they are from the Japanese promotional demo disc. Still only through hacking, I guess.

So, see if anyone can confirm?

I doubt anyone here has a Japanese version of the promo demo :D I do have the PAL demo version of RE3 but I don't have a way to fiddle with the files in it.

I don't mind if you submit it yourself :D I mean, I didn't even know about these images until now let alone the fact that Morgan Freeman made a sort of a cameo in one of them.

I do think there's quite enough of evidence from different sources with the same image used and all of them mention the same origin for them: leftover files on a demo disc. If that truly is enough is up to the site moderators, though.

Oh, I so do love finding out about new stuff in Resident Evil. That's why I went through the trouble of trying to find more about them :P

Should propably add that they weren't straight up available, the files only seem to be accessible through hacking since they were leftovers left in the disc's data.

Already submitted unfortunately. If its accepted, we can add that at a later time.
