I'm guessing that somewhere down the road, there will be a Trade in your old shit for a discountâ„¢ which I'll probably opt for. If WiFi Pokemon Doubles is terrible, four-player live action monster hunting with new vertical options is going to be a god damn nightmare. Plus the circle pad pro is stupid and controlling MH3U on the ds is awkward as hell.
WAIT, apparently it only uses micro SD cards, that's a load of poop and I'm not buying new sd cards just to play slighlty prettier smush boros. Unsubscribed.

Didn't the 3DS's already do this or am I stupid?

Nope, I don't know about any other models, but the standard 3DS uses standard SD cards. I know this because I had to buy one to store all of my
sonic porn games.

Nintendo 3DS 2.0
I don't know.
That's not really abbreviating it, though.

Just to point out, I was making a joke. I wasn't asking what the thing is going to be named.

This. Nintendo needs to pull their heads out of the 80s and welcome the modern world.
Actually, the 80s mobile did not have region locking. The Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP and DS were ALL region free. Nintendo didn't start the stupid region locking stuff until the DSi. Even with the DSi, the region locking was software, not hardware and game carts. The 3DS started region locking.

Good point, I didn't think of the handhelds at all here. I was referring to their consoles and basically to the time when just about everything was region locked.

Yeah indeed. I have games from different regions and I'm happy to be able to play those types of games without stupid limitations (you should see how the N64 was region locked. You'd be surprised)
Plastic tabs and pins. Does wonders. Ironically, some region locking has really easy bypasses. For example, the Genesis was region locked... unless you had this guy...
Seriously, most region locked Genesis games have a code to turn region locking off that can be accessed with a game genie. But, all in all, region locking is stupid.
I'll probably end up getting one sometime down the line. I think it's a cool idea, maybe a little too soon for this to be an option, but I think it'll be fine. Hopefully it will have improvements that aren't just hardware related, but a better internet browser and the like. The only thing that would stop from changing over to this would be if I can transfer my games and save files from my current 3DS. I couldn't transfer some of my DSi games to my 3DS for whatever reason and that pissed me off.
I don't think i'll be getting the new 3DS because I just got a PS VITA and I already own a 3DS I almost to never played my 3DS because of the little games that actually caught my interest and that I enjoyed. I only see myself using my 3DS around when smash comes out besides that its pointless for myself to get one.
I also wouldn't mind multi-touch. Again, it could add some really interesting new game mechanics.
Monster Hunter 4G bundle announced!
There's also going to be a Smash Bros. themed special edition of NN3DSLL.
That name is ridiculous.
They totally could have gotten away with 3DS2 or Super 3DS.
But they chose New Nintendo 3DSLL. What does the LL even mean?

It's the NN3DS equivalent for 3DS XL. I have no idea why it now is double-L.

Then why wouldn't you name it 3DSXLL? Man, this is confusing.
