I dont tend to rush myself through a game. Unless if its something thats making me feel 'rushed' like Mario Kart.
I feel like I rush games a lot. It kind of annoys me that I miss out on a ton of side stuff, especially in RPGs. I'm going to replay Fallout 3 and New Vegas soon and I definitely plan on taking my time more and just taking it more slowly this time.
