Hey guys,

We're looking at the idea of producing frequent "Five Trivia" videos, and are considering the idea of including the community in the creation of these videos. As most people here are not versed in video creation, we think the best solution is to keep it simple!

Come up with an idea for a "Five Trivia" list, and compile it.

Try to be specific in your lists. Consider "Top 5 Anti-Piracy Measures", "Top 5 Donkey Kong Cameos in Other Games", etc. etc.

We don't want to make these lists massively public before we make a video, so if you could PM these to me, that'd probably be easier.

Try to format your lists too, as follows:

Name of List
5. Brief title for trivia and including game name.

If you want to work on a list with other people from the forum, feel free to discuss these and compile a list agreed by a few people!

You'll have your name mentioned in the end credits for compiling the list, and hopefully you'll see some of your favorite trivia made into a neat little video!

Less of a top 5 thing, but I'd imagine a few of the charities around would appreciate a mention.

I know there are more out there, and I'm sure a good few people would appreciate their charity or any charity being brought to the attention of the viewing audience.

Try it by a PM instead, the content shouldn't be public knowledge before the video is made.

Well to be fair, that isn't a top 5 list.. I'm not sure what Psychospacecow is asking of us here. Gaming charities aren't trivia based :\

and its really more of a random thought than anything else I suppose, but there are a lot of gaming based charities out there and DYKGFacts has a big audience that a collaborating charity would probably appreciate from a publicity standpoint. I don't know if such a thing could be arranged and figured that at least, nothing changes.

We've got another one in production already. Just need to finish obtaining footage. Should be out within the next month.

I'm a bit confused here. How do you want us to post our video ideas? Do you want them by PM? And should we converse with other members before PMing you?

I had a feeling that the narrator was Tigerlily. You did a great job for a first time narrator, but a bit of advice would be to sound a little less like your reading from a script. You sound great hiding it for the most part but you can tell in a few parts where you go a little monotone.


The biggest complaint is with the comments. "Why is Popeye turning into Donkey Kong on video?" Becuse you know about it, that's why. Most people don't know about the PC Mario game. The video is ment to show off things you may not know of, and people only care about the most well know change.

It's your call -however you wish to compile your lists :)

I'll have to try to listen later. I think YouTube is having problems. I've restarted my phone, checked my Wi-Fi, etc.

Video was great in my opinion, really looking forward to more of them and hopefully come up with a list of my own. I also thought tigerlily has a great voice to be a narrator.

Aye, I wouldn't mind seeing her cover another VGFacts video, though I'll agree with gamemaster1991 in saying that while it was a good run, it also was a tad monotone at certain points.

I had the same problem myself for quite a while, and ironically, overacting for minor videos is what helped me start to get over that.
