it is impossible for pokemon x and y to have references to OR/AS since x and y was released before OR/AS
The source is shown as a theory. The trivia states that it is "thought" that it references these two games. Also, you have to take into consideration that development teams put Easter eggs in A LOT of games that reference upcoming titles because they already have plans for sequels, next gen games, etc.
Some examples are from the Batman Arkham series.
I'm using quoted trivia from the site that has sources from other sites.
Arkham Asylum - "The sequel, Arkham City, had plans made as early as 6-8 months before Arkham Asylum was complete. A secret room was placed within the warden's office, which was filled with concept work and initial ideas. The room remained hidden for six months following the game's release until Rocksteady themselves revealed that it was in the game."
Arkham City - "Setting the date of the console or PC that the game is running on back to December 13th, 2004 (the day the game's developer, Rocksteady, was founded) and talking to Calender Man in the court house basement triggers special dialogue from him where he claims that "the end is near" and when it comes, he'll be there. This is likely a reference to the final game of the series, Batman: Arkham Knight, which was in development at the time, as well as it being the final entry in the Arkham game series.

This easter egg wasn't found by fans until 3 years after the game's release, when Rocksteady hinted at it's existence."
Both are trivia by Boyobmas, I do believe, and the second one he beat me to submitting it by minutes.

This, you mean?

The source says these were possibly just hints to a remake of R&S, which can probably be reworded to reflect that.
It's all good, though. We're here to help and clarify. Welcome to the site and feel free to contribute. There is always more trivia.
