Oh don't get me wrong. I think they've got good intentions, it was just poorly implemented.
(This is real snarky, and I don't particularly care for that, but this guy is funny, and he's showcasing a lot of response mods.)
Paid mods are already gone by the way. It turns out Valve has somehow managed to lose enough money from people's complaints about it that they've decided to not allow paid mods.
Oh boy remember this shit storm? I still can't believe how horribly they implemented them with a buggy armor set and crappy gamebannana skins.
Hopefully they'll implement the idea well in the future with some additional quests and side campaigns and what not, but until then, jesus valve what was that.
