A lot of the concept art has the protagonist with a stained glass sword so I think that's a good indicator.

That's a good thing to notice though. Concept art. No actual gameplay or real indicators that this project would actually be worthwhile. I won't believe it till I see it.

While the concept art shows a sword. I have a feeling that the game will let you switch from sword to whip. Since both will have different abilities to the advantage for the player.

I would hope so. I mean, the game is already 1.1 million dollars over what it requested. I would hope somewhere in there that both weapons got funded, if they weren't already part of the main requested amount.
