The Dawn of Destiny don't interest you?

Damn man, I just don't know anymore.

I have Ninja Gaiden Sigma, I've only just bought Jet Set Radio HD on PS3, Dead or Alive is one of my least favorite fighting game series, I've never been interested in Yu-Gi-Oh, never played Far Cry to begin with... The rest I've either never heard of or just don't care about. Literally the only game on that list I'm even slightly interested in is Panzer Dragoon. Also, it's weird seeing a list like that without Halo, in which I used to be slightly interested in but not enough to get a console for. Besides, I have the PS3 equivalent anyway, Killzone.

Going slightly off tangent here...

Eh, it keep the thread going and updated.

Also I made sure I kept it to exclusives only, since you can now play Halo 1 and 2 on PC and Xbox One.

Still, long story short. Play Shenmue.
So I've never played Shenmue. Going to correct that very soon.

Nice, take your time with the game. It start off really well, and then goes incredibly slow for a while. The whole of disc 1 you just walk around the small town asking people questions and following leads, but you can waste time in the arcade or doing other odd jobs around the place, including training your moves and feeding a kitten (which I believe grows as you feed it). You get in fights and QTE battles along the way though.

Shenmue 2 is a lot bigger and has a lot more things to do, but stick with Shenmue 1 all the way, even if the game seems to bore you just keep going, it does get good.

Remember, if you want the dub. You need to play Shenmue 1 on the Dreamcast and Shenmue 2 on the Xbox. It can also be played on the 360 and upscaled to 720p if you're not emulating. If you are I can give you tips for the Dreamcast versions.

Personally, I'd play through the game dubbed due to how hilarious it makes the game, and since hundreds of players played it this way. Also Yu Suzuki said he prefers the dub. But if you can't stand it, then play Shenmue 2 with the subs or get the Shenmue 1 Undub.

If you want to transfer your save. Then both games need to be played on the Dreamcast, and in the PAL region. 1 has the dub, 2 doesn't, but has subs.
Corey Marshall (The English Voice Actor for Ryo) is in negotiations to reprise his role as Ryo Hazuki in Shenmue 3.

Just saying if you're wondering whether to play the game in English or Japanese, they may have an English version.
I like how much the kickstarter just died. It got funded so quickly and than in the last 10 days or so has only accumulated something like 300,000. I also like how they thought adding more goals would help it along when everyone pretty much knows that they are already being funded. This is not what kickstarter was made for, and I hope everyone who sees how quickly this one sank like it did will learn not to abuse it, because I feel like that's what happened with this one.

Yes, it's a very bad move that's occurred here.

>Kickstarter goes up with a goal of 2 million
>We're told if it reaches 2 million, it will be made
>It reaches 2 million, and then Sony are like "Oh, we'll fund it and so will certain third party devs"
>Basically used Kickstarter as a way to see if people wanted the game
>People dislike that this happened since they shouldn't pay to help Sony out when Sony are going to pay for it as well
>People stop giving money, some withdraw their donations.

Last I heard Suzuki needs 10 million from the kickstarter to truly make the game he needs, but with the lackluster amount he's been getting the past few days I doubt he'd reach it. All we've got in terms of information about Sony and their funding is

Quote:"I can say that with their assistance on the production and marketing end, and in Sony’s case with some publishing support as well, Ys Net is able to use more of the money we collect through Kickstarter purely for Shenmue 3’s development. It is also important to note that your funds are going strictly to Ys Net for development of Shenmue 3 – Sony and Shibuya Productions are not seeing a cent of your Kickstarter dollars."

Quote:"We cannot make an open world game for $2 million. Shenmue will be produced using both the funds raised from the Kickstarter and through other funding sources already secured by Ys Net Inc."

It'd be nice if Sony were just like "We'll help round up the remaining funds to reach to 10 million" to Suzuki privately or at least put the goal higher.
