So here's a big find regarding Pikmin 2's soundtrack that I'm really surprised hasn't been added to this site yet.
As it turns out, Pikmin 2's soundtrack is a lot larger than you may have initially thought. This is because the game's primary music tracks have multiple variations, and it switches between them based on the current circumstances.

Here are the patterns I've observed. (And different tracks, for comparison)
(Note that Olimar's versions of each song are the "normal" versions, as you'll see below)

Some extra variations also exist for more than one condition being met at once, for example, if Louie was having Pikmin carrying an item while at sunset, it would sound like this:

This all into account, the track listing for Pikmin 2 runs at least at 400 songs.
That's pretty big for a single Gamecube disc.
