Just to give a little extra information, if you've submitted trivia there's a good chance you've seen my name attached to the process. For various reasons I've effectively been off the job for a few months, but I'm now back on the case and ready to reject submissions about Green Mario being called "Luigi" and "Nintendo" being short for "Ninja Tendonitis".

I should also be working more closely with Dazz and other staff members, with the goal of generally being less rubbish.
Let's make that 27 Pending Submissions, since I've decided to post more Series Trivia after all. 1 of them is from a Recent LP of Banjo Kazooie where Grant Kirkhope gave away some more trivia that we hadn't know of already prior.

Meh, I've had similar things happen to me too. Don't think too deeply into it, just something that happens every now and then due to thousands of submissions being piled up.
I agree. Don't let it get to ya. I've been beat to accepted trivia by mere minutes. It's on the site. That's what counts.
For what it's worth, we don't prioritize one person over another. Often, we don't even know the same piece is in the queue multiple times until we see it twice and even then, it may have been a completely random selection that landed us on the first one. The quality of the writing, attachment, and source would all factor in if we know there's more than one submission covering the same information but more often than not, the piece that makes it is the one we see first. In cases where a later submission is vastly better than the original, we'll delete the older one and accept the new though.

Still at 27, but I changed one of my Pending Submissions to one from Hyrule Warrior Legends from a CB Video by GX, finger crossed I'm not beaten to it, and I did submit some Private Message Suggestions to Other VGFacts Submitters. Since Dazz' message of Staff working to clear the queue, no Submission of mine has been approved, not even by Ophl. I've decided I won't be making more Submissions until I'm at less than 27 Pending Submissions (as in one has been Accepted or Rejected, Submissions I post are dependent), but I may post some Submissions from games at E3 like Zelda Wii U, which may have some Trivia Revealed as well as it's Official Name.
I understand that More Submissions are being posted day after day, so we're all pretty much to blame for the Queue taking a long time to get through. VGFacts I see funnily enough has never considered temporarily putting the site on lock down from getting more Submissions Submitted, allowing staff to complete things faster.
There really wouldn't be any benefit to doing so. It's not like old submissions expire or there's some time limit we're working against. As always, your answer here is the same - just be patient. These "reminders" that you still have pending trivia will not speed up the process.

I have Patience though Determined, but the more the wait, it may go away at times (recently I'm like that about the 25th Anniversary Sonic Game, which is still unannounced), though I do try to control it. I know you're trying to help and be decent Petie, but luckily things I do in the mean time is watch over Submissions coming through, make sure my submissions are good enough for an approval, and time to time question some stuff in the Trivia Disputes, or ask Staff about stuff, as well as posting Trivia to Various IMDB Pages (another place for posting trivia). How far have your Pending Submissions can back to? I've only had Pending Submissions go blank not many times during my time with VGFacts these past 2 years, I don't mind when all my submissions have gone through, but I'd always try to think of something, no rush, and there wouldn't possibly be a time when the Submission Queue goes blank, leaving nothing for the VGFacts Staff to approve. Right now I'm staying tuned for yet to arrive news and facts about games on the way.
I almost forgot, I reported this trivia for it to be moved onto the Smash Bros. Series Trivia appear since it applies to not just Smash 4, but Brawl as well: http://www.vgfacts.com/trivia/10484/

My apologies for reporting it 3 times, but I never received any response objecting my Report.
No offense but I was going to post this, and have been waiting for it to be approved since December: http://www.vgfacts.com/trivia/10647/

It doesn't even mention what tapping each of the letters does, mine does, and has a better source. And the fact that it started out as a New Mario Paint game had already been mentioned in Another Submission: http://www.vgfacts.com/trivia/10085/
For the last time, we get it. You have submissions that have been waiting for a while. So do a ton of other people. You also have stuff pending that we have already accepted from another user. So do a ton of other people. There is no set order to trivia approval. If we find a better submission for something we already have on the site, we use it when we get to it.

In your example, I wouldn't call your submission better. More detailed, sure, but that's not always better. In this case, the trivia is that the title screen has some easter eggs and the source outlines what the effects are. I don't feel that it's necessary to explicitly list it all out in text as well.

That said, I'm closing this thread. I'm out of ways to say "be patient" politely at this point which is, effectively, what every single response here has been.
