I love BoTW! I have it for the WiiU. I Love the big openness of it. The fact that Link can cook actual food instead of having to rely on hearts. I love the story. I'm getting a Switch for Christmas so i'll be getting it for that aswell.

We got a Newbie!
But in all seriousness, I am pretty close to packing up my Wii U since I never touch it anymore. After the Switch came out, both the Wii U and 3DS went untouched. Zelda on the go makes it a lot better.
The Zelda DLC comes out TONIGHT!
Game of the Year
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Just found out that the DLC is 2.1GB in size for those who are limited on space. I was wondering why it was taking so long to download
I don't hate Zelda, but I do think it was the least deserving winner of each category it was in. I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion, but that's how I feel.
I'm just glad the winner wasn't PUBG. Game hasn't even been released yet.
Game Awards are dead to me ever since they gave some crappy mobile game runner the award for best handheld over fucking Monster Hunter.

Zelda deserved it tho
Two years ago the Game Awards were... okay. Last year, don't even get me started on how crap that was. This year was pretty good. Didn't care for the awards, but MY GOD there was so much new content.

The announcements were fine but everything was a mess, from not reacting to Creation Club or Destiny 2 issues, to lightning round awards, to people going on random rants, to some awards not even being announced at all, it was bloody mess, and that goes a long way into explaining why it's not a respected award show, and it's mostly Geoff Keighley's fault.
DLC 2 (The Champions' Ballad) just doesn't fit imo. Maybe if I hadn't competed the game first, it wouldn't have seemed like such a tedious with little purpose. The motorcycle serves little purpose to me; we have horses.
