Microsoft confirms it, the game has not been worked on at all this year and we don't know the exact time that it happened last year, but the reasons for it are pretty huge and will probably mean the project never gets picked up again. This is devastating news for the company as the hype for this game has been huge among fans for years, and now it's not going to happen. That really sucks for me because Scalebound was one of the reasons I bought my Xbox One, and now it's not happening
Kamiya must feel awful about this.

Personally, I never liked what I saw from Scalebound but I never liked what I saw in Devil May Cry, The Wonderful 101 and more Kamiya games and they all turned out amazing, so this was no exception.

I honestly don't know what Microsoft is even doing anymore. All their exclusives are mulitplats, games that could be good are being cancelled, studios are closing down. With the upcoming release of the Scorpio there are only like 5 exclusives to get the system for, and putting all their eggs in timed exclusives is fucking stupid.

I really don't understand why they don't use the money that's sitting idly by on video games we haven't seen in a while. Imagine if they commissioned Crytek to make Timesplitters 4 an exclusive for their console? Or if they got Sega to make some games exclusively for them like they did with the original Xbox.

They don't seem to care about their loss of money because they have tons of it, so why not waste some more trying to gain some more fans by giving your console EXCLUSIVE games we haven't seen in years, or possibly asking companies who make multiplats to make a single timed exclusive of some sort. Hell, Microsoft can easily get all their IP's from the original Xbox era to make a comeback, and for the people at Rare to ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING.

Imagine a console that has Timesplitters 4, Jet Set Radio 3, Blinx 3, Banjo-Threeie, Conker, Crazy Taxi, NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon, OutRun, Space Channel 5, DMC5, Dino Crisis, Viewtiful Joe, Power Stone etc. I could go on and on.

I mean just look at what people are complaining about never getting made, and MAKE THAT.

Pretty much all of this. It's ridiculous really. Last year Microsoft had some good games, but I now all I can see myself playing this entire year on their system is Sea of Thieves, provided it doesn't get delayed. I spent a lot of money on that system, and now with them not really doing much for it, I think it's gonna be best collecting dust and that really bothers me.
