On twitter, and possibly elsewhere that I just haven't seen yet, Nintendo confirmed a Fire Emblem Direct on the 18th. In typical Nintendo fashion, no time has been given yet, but it's coming and I imagine it's going to include more about Fire Emblem Warriors, probably something related to Fates, and hey maybe even a new game? Guess we'll see. I don't have a link yet because everyone who is a Nintendo fan is probably still hanging on every word they can get about the Switch but once one comes up, I'll be sure to post it.
I hope that Warriors shows more love than it looks like it will to the GBA games.

I imagine that it would pretty difficult to make a game with only two or three popular Fire Emblem games. There's going to be an expectation for sure that this game has at least as many characters in it as Hyrule Warriors, in fact probably more since almost every character is significant in some way or another. Doing less than that would leave a lot of people upset. I wouldn't be surprised if few of them came out in the base game and then tacked on with some DLC along with a character or two to make people buy it though.
The tine of the Fire Emblem Direct has been confirmed for 2 P.M. Pacific Time, 5 P.M. Eastern, so if you are interested in watching it when it first comes out, you'll need to figure your time zone on that. Rumors go that Fire Emblem Warriors, the Mobile Fire Emblem game, and maybe even Fates will be talked about during this direct. The Rumor specifically for Fates is especially interesting because if their right, that means Fates will be coming to the Switch. Time will tell I suppose.
Okay, so the results of the Direct are:
Fire Emblem Heroes for Apple devices is coming in about two weeks on Feb. 2 and pre-registration starts tomorrow.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is coming May 19th to all 3DS systems and will have Amiibo for the main characters Aim and Celica coming out soon as well. No release date given for the Amiibo though. This game is a remake of the second ever Fire Emblem game back in 1992 but will include a more modern style for the games.
Fire Emblem Warriors will be releasing this Fall for the Nintendo Switch and the 3DS family and a slightly longer trailer was also shown, giving us an idea of the gameplay which already know what that's like.
Finally, a new Fire Emblem game, possibly exclusive to the Switch is set for a 2018 release but no name or info beyond the fact that it's happening has been released.
Overall, not a bad direct, but seriously, half of it was dedicated to the damn mobile game which plays like every other mobile game like it. That was really pointless.

Fire Emblem Warriors... eh
Fire Emblem Echos. Hell. Yea.
Fire Emblem 2018.... Why are you such a tease Nintendo?
I made a slight mistake there. Apparently Warriors is only for new Nintendo 3DS systems.

Warriors is for the Switch AND the 3DS.
The 3DS is in the works.

I mean it's only for the New Nintendo 3DS. The first versions of the 3DS and the 2DS won't be getting the game. I said the family of 3DS systems would get it, and that's not actually true, so I was correcting myself.

Ah my bad. Yea, I can only see it happening for the New 3DS since it can handle games a lot better.
YES!YES!YES!
So 'effing glad to be rolling in this Fire Emblem hype!
As for Fire Emblem Heroes, once I get my new phone, You can bet your sweet monkey that I will be emulating the Fire Emblem GBA instead of wasting time with another potential premium app.
