Full Version: The looking for a game thread

Occasionally I'm sure we are all looking for a game that we just can't find without some external help. I'm in one such dilemma but I thought it was weird to make a thread that could basically just be PM if I asked the right person, and I didn't want to go around asking everyone and bothering them. Then I realized, I'm not the only one who sometimes has issues with finding game, we have threads it in the past, so I figured why not make one dedicated to helping people figure out where the games they are looking for are being sold, or is someone is simply looking for the name of a game etc.

So since I started the thread, I'll start with the first request, and maybe I'll even go ahead and post any conclusive results on this first page in the hopes of preventing several people from asking about the same game.

The game I'm looking for is Ys Origin, a game that's set to release February 21st but is seemingly impossible to find online anywhere for pre-order even though it's coming out on PS Vita and PS4. I checked gamestop, Amazon and Ebay, and I either ended up with nothing, or other games from the series like Ys Memories of Celceta which I believe was the last game that out in the Ys series. Anyone know where in North America it's selling?
Are you looking for a physical copy of the game or digital? There's no english physical copy but I remember Ys Origin is on Steam and, I think, GoG. Also, are you specifically looking for it on those systems or any?
So I looking for a platformer action game that I played a year and a half ago on Newgrounds. For what I can remenber, the game starred an albino humanoid with purple hair and red eyes named 'Eve' exploring a post-apocaliptic wasteland.

EDIT: nevermind, I finally found the game on my own, and it is called "Perdition". http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/641030
Hey guys, I have a job for you. Let's see if you can help me.

I'm looking for a video game and can't remember the name of it. It's pretty old. Commodore Amiga old.

Things I remember:

- It was on a Commodore Amiga

- It was a 2D platform

- The character was like a knight (sword, shield, etc.)

- It had three parts, or stages if you will. One on the surface, one underground and one in the sky (walking on clowds I think)

- You could play any part individually (I think you had to at least beat the game once, not sure).

- BUT, if you beat the game in its original order (surface, under, sky) when you finnish the sky part you unlock a cutscene where a castle collapses and you fall into the void.

- It had the "player 2 press start" option.

- The protagonist was young.

- He was like, small and big head, something similar to this picture.

Let's see if we can do this!
We have a thread for this already. (https://www.vgfacts.com/forums/thread-3756.html)

Hey mods, can you merge the two threads?

EDIT: well, thank you.

No, sorry.
I can't think of anything that might be. Why don't you try this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUoJBerFDsA and see if one of them look like it.
I'm looking for a side scrolling shooter featuring a blue knock off of Deadpool. Said game was on Newgrounds.

Seriously? No one?
Sorry bub. Haven't been on Newgrounds in years.
I am looking for a side-scrolling, middle ages fantasy-themed beat 'em up. The game featured two playable characters: a blue haired swordman and a bowman.

The game was in Newgrounds.
Wow, I haven't been on Neo Geo for a while.
Any idea how it ranked one the 5 star list at the time you played it m

I think about 3 stars and a half. Either that or 4 stars.

*sigh* So, after looking for the game by myself I eventually reached around the 30 page. I eventually gave up.

But hey, looking on the bright side of things, I rediscovered many good games, such as Final Ninja.

EDIT: this happened two weeks and a half ago yet I never occurred to me to post this until.... today.

EDIT 2 (2020): I found the game by sheer coincidence. It's called Double-edge.
