This has been going on for a while now, but now it got worse.

Basically, the startup boton of my PC was a bit irresponsible, having to keep pressed the buttom until the "confirmation light" turned on. But nowadays said light deosn't even twinkle at all, the boton simply doens't work. How do I fix this?

Right now I'm using somebody else's computer, in cas it wasn't obvious.
Is it a laptop or a desktop? Can you get us pictures to work with? This could be a lot of different things potentially.
Sounds to me like there's either some hardware damage to the button/wire itself (or possibly a loose connection on the motherboard now that I'm thinking about it) or a bad power supply. I'd start there.

Allright. Gotta check there.
So I just cheked my PC. It turns out that the problem was that the inner workings of it had collected dust and dirt for YEARS. After a cleanup, it now works again.
Awesome! Glad to hear you got it working!
Something I forgot to mention is that during my cleanup I checked the button/wire itself in order to see if it was okay, and it was.

I'm mentioning this because today my PC took a little while to turn on despited said cleanup, althought not as much as before. So yeah, I say it is a mix of the dust and a weak power source.
I'd sort out the power source then. Could potentially be a fire hazard.
