Ok, so if it's made in a way so as to be always online and no longer able to play used games, how bad do you think the backlash will be? I give them about a month to issue a formal apology. Maybe two.

I expect them to go full force with it with no apology.
No lube, no apology. People will still buy it and they'll proclaim, "See? It's what you've always wanted!"
Companies like Microsoft tend to confuse telling what the customers want and giving them what they want.

So the new Xbox won't be turned
on all the time?
Vidya gaming isn't looking good.
Wii U isn't that great as of now, but I'll give it time.
PS4 is full of Sony's pre-release lies they tell before the console is release, so I never trust them
Microsoft is somehow going to incorporate Kinect into this system, and hell, the controller might not even be used.
The only console worth owning these days are handhelds.

...and even then my 3DS hasn't played a 3DS game in over a year. It's been Phoenix Wright and Pokemon. I HOPE, Microsoft don't do a massive dick move. I wanna move to next generation and stay with Microsoft as my primary console.
The only possible reason I'd stay with Microsoft is so it can port my saves from Mass Effect, The Witcher or (Cthulhu willing) Telltale's The Walking Dead. However when people are saying "SURELY MICROSOFT WOULD ALLOW OFFLINE" I doubt it. I have Xbox Live Gold and I couldn't afford to renew my membership, so you wanna know what happened?
They suspended me and every time I try to change my account to a free one, they block me from doing so. The only way I can possibly play anything is offline. Microsoft has proven that they're not only willing to force people offline and into online, but they'd gladly slap a subscription while they do it.
The Playstation 4 is looking to be the best overall option for me along with the Wii U.
Microsoft needs to realize that if they don't allow offline, they're gonna lose customers.
am done with mircosoft i dont want to pay $60 for gold even thought the most useful part of xbox gold is the xbox live parties. I can pay $50 each year for ps+ which am getting free games every tuesday. i dont want to pay $60 plus a other $200 (the 200 bucks is money i use to buy games) with playstation you save a lot more money $50 for ps+ and you are getting lots of free games
In less than 12 hours this thing is finally revealed! WHOOO!!!!!!
I can't be the only person forgetting that there is a Xbox reveal, like everyday.
I wasn't excited for the PS4 reveal, but it was in my head for a long time, I keep on forgetting about the Microsoft. I just remembered it was today by this topic.
Can someone give a tl;dr of the conference ? I wasn't able to tune in.
