In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Solid Snake's series logo was changed from the FOX logo (which first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 3) seen in Brawl to the exclamation point commonly seen throughout the Metal Gear Solid series.

This is likely due to the fact that the FOX logo was also used as the logo for Kojima Productions, which was run by Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima. Kojima left Konami and the Metal Gear series in 2015 on bad terms and rebooted Kojima Studios as an independent company. The removal of the FOX logo is likely a biproduct of the split.
