A Development Team that doesn't multi-task with what games they work on might I add. If that is the case then I guess it might explain as to why New Horizons came 8 years after New Leaf, in addition to why they hadn't been able to make a new Animal Crossing game for the Wii U aside from spinoffs, Animal Crossing might not even be one of those franchises that Nintendo aims to have a new game of for every system anyway. One way we can figure this out for certain is by determining if Splatoon started development around the time of New Leaf's release, and if New Horizons started it's development around the time of Splatoon 2's release.
