Do like I do, consider how much you'd be surfing and how many fire types there'll be. I always chose infernape in 4th gen because there were so few fires types. That said, I still need 3ds, but who knows.

I'm going with the Frog as most people I know are going with the fire type due to its design this generation.

I think I might go with Froakie. I always choose the Water types. The only time I didn't was with Charmander.
