Alpha 3 Chun-Li: So the reason why Chun-Li switched costumes between the Alpha series and SF2 is because her attitude towards street fighting has changed? I mean, at least they gave an explanation, so there's that. "The black sheep thing"? What does that have to do with her extra special case? I'm confused.
Chun-Li's stage: A cute story about Chun-Li helping out a missing child. I thought the name "Li-Fei" sounded familiar but apparently is not a reference to anything.
Also, I gotta say this. If it was a man who helped the missing child instead of Chun-Li then the parents would have reacted differently ("get away from my child, you creep!").
Alpha 3 Sagat: Not much to say here. They explained why Sagat isn't bothered by only having one eye (because he's a badass) and why he shaves his head (he takes his fights seriously).
Sagat's stage: Some mentions about the Thailand civil war, a guy looking for Sagat, ect. What caught my attention the most was this line by M. Bison/Dictator: "So, you won't join my organization no matter what, it would seem,".
What does this mean? Does this mean that Sagat never joined Shadaloo as of proper? Was he some sort of freenlancer? So many questions.
Alpha 3 Adon: TIL about Lumpinee Stadium. They say Adon's hair represents his anger towards Sagat but he already had that hairstyle in SF1. What's up with that?
Adon's stage: I first heard of Nuakan thanks to his CFN profile. This story also expands on why Adon became Sagat's student and why he decided to learn Muay Thai in the first place. Overall, it was a good story.
Alpha 3 Birdie: A knife shaped comb? All this time I thought he was holding a regular knife.
Birdie's stage: Birdie pulled one of the train wagons from that stage? Damn, he's strong. I guess this story explains why the stage looks like that.
Alpha 3 Guy: This does explain why Guy wears a reddish orange outfit (sometimes is just plain red), because he likes to train in plain view. He doesn't mind the attention. Yeah, that's not ninja-like.
Guy's stage: So Metro City was under the influence of Shadaloo. Not surprised, given they also had an influence on the U.S army. Also, according to this short story the events of Final Fight took place one year prior to Alpha 3. Just how much time passed between Alpha 2 and 3? Or Alpha 1 and 2, for that matter.
This line in particular is strange: ""It's not easy, is it? Achieving peace. What is it, in the end? What's most worth protecting? I'm not sure myself, but that doesn't stop me from fighting, in my own way. I think it's the same for Cody, but... I can't help but be worried. Far from his own daughter, he had to start a new life... or maybe, the thing is, he couldn't."
Far from his own daughter? Are you telling me that Cody has a daughter? Unless they are talking about Haggar's daughter (Jessica), which would make more sense.
Alpha 3 Sodom: "Him saying words of misfortune when performing some moves seems to have the intended purpose of inflicting spiritual damage."
Huh, I was wondering where did the wiki got that information from. Now we know.
Sodom's stage: I find it interesting that the stage takes place in an abandoned building that Sodom took for himself. I wonder if the building has been demolished as of Street Fighter V or if its still there.
Alpha 3 Charlie Nash: TIL Charlie studied biology in University. I wonder why he joined the U.S army.
Charlie Nash's stage: So this is how Chun-Li and Charlie Nash knew each other. As for the "She didn't look any older than a teen" line. Well, I guess this confirms she was a teenager back in the Alpha trilogy. Wait, if she was truly a teen back in the day then how did she join the I.C.P.O. / Interpol?
Alpha 3 Rose: Soul Power can be used to cause hallucinatios and mess with the senses? I didn't knew that, but I'm not really surprised about this revelation. I wonder if Psycho Power can be used in the same way
Rose's stage: This was Maggio's introduction to the franchise, right? I first found about him thanks to his CFN profile.
Alpha 3 M. Bison (Dictador): I love how they mention that his hat never falls off. His profile also puts emphasis on his muscle strenght. I would like to see an official list about the physically strongest characters of the series. I mean, we know Zangief is gonna rank in at Number 1, but I want to see the rest.
M. Bison (Dictador) stage: We are shown one of the victims of Shadaloo. From the text, it seems that the man was damaged beyond repair. Chun-Li is called to the scene.
Alpha 3 Akuma / Gouki: So we finally know why Akuma wears that necklace. "The big pearl accessory around his neck may have the purpose of making the souls he sent to the realm of the dead ascend in peace."
Akuma / Gouki stage: A reminder that Akuma is not a mindless monster but rather he's a warrior with a code of honor. I liked this story.
Alpha 3 Dan: So that's why Dan wears a black undershirt? Interesting.
Dan's stage: Did you know that Dan canonically can speak more than three languages? Well, now you know. Overall, it was a good story. I liked it.
Alpha 3 Dhalsim: Sally was 17 back in Alpha 3? Yeah, I always had the feeling that Dhalsim's wife was younger than him, but not that young. Just how big is the age gap between those two, anyway? I know it's big, but how big? Also, interesting details about the rings on his arms and ears.
Dhalsim's stage: I liked the story behind the stage. Some insight into Dhalsim and Sally's relationship. Nice.
Alpha 3 Zangief: The Vanishing Flat (AKA Green Hand) is a Chinese martial arts technique? Huh, I thought it was something Zangief made up. And yes, its Vanishing, not Banishing.
Zangief's stage: A story showing us how much the Russians love Zangief. Zangief mentions something about an upcoming period of great change in Soviet Russia.
Alpha 3 Gen: ..... Gen's fighting style is called Ansatsuken?! Ansatsuken is the name of Gouken's fighting style. This has to be a translation error
Gen's stage: An story showing us how much of a badass Gen is and how it is considered to be a honor to be hunted by him.
Alpha 3 Rolento: Nothing new here. Just telling us things that people already familiar with the character knew.
Rolento's stage: I always had the feeling that the stage took place on an abandoned (unfinished) subway station. He used the station to transport weapons? Makes sense. According to this story Rolento doesn't actively seek war with others and views Shadaloo as their greates obstacle. I wonder what happened to Rolento and his dream as of Street Fighter III.
