At this point, Toby Fox's affinity for interpolation is so well-known that it's practically common knowledge among fans; like with Undertale, Deltarune features a copious amount of songs that include passages from other parts of the soundtrack (as well as excerpts from certain Undertale songs as well), but one track in particular has a rather unconventional choice of interpolation.
Specifically, the track "WELCOME TO THE CITY" interpolates the chorus melody to "74", a song by J-pop singer Itoki Hana that Fox composed and provided guest vocals for. The two songs are provided below:
