So I recently found this compilation of Japanese commercials for the Street Fighter series. Spanning across SF2 all the way to 5.

The ones I like the most are the Live-Action one featuring Guille and Dictador, the actors look spot-on. That and the animated Zero/Alpha commercials.

Also, I think I found something trivia worthy in this compilation.
It's always gonna be this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cfdbw9paC0

It was nice of PlayStation to commit a commercial to a fan who had passed away, while giving everyone else a reminder of the times they had playing the PS3. It was smart marketing, and touching in it's own way.

2 big ole thumbs up for "Michael"; I've seen the commercial but did not know he was a specific fan who passed away.

Michael was a popular member of the official PlayStation forums or something of that nature.

The best one is the American commercial for Smash 64.
So this one showed up in my recommendations.

The BGM is Adventure Theme from Taiyo ni Hoero. You might have heard it in a Filthy Frank video.

The entire CM is a reference to the aforementioned show which was a popular crime drama in the 70's-80's.
Street Fighter V x deodorizing spray. Yes, this is real.
This Virtua Fighter 4 commercial, thought.

BTW, since this is a PS2 game might as well talk about this:

Have you ever wondered why Sony constantly talked about the PS2 as "the third place"? It was a markerting term. The PlayStation 2 was marketed as this gateaway to another dimension, so to speak. I believe the DYKG video on the PS2 has more info about it.

Here's another Virtua Fighter 4 commercial.
The marketing behind this game is pretty good.
This Halo 3: ODST commercial is just great.
