and yeah Bowsers front air swipe and dropkicks were just too much. 3 of the final 4 players including the winner were Bowser.... Rosalina isn't pick up and play OP though, but yeah I get you Cody. She could be crazy with proper spacing.

The more I keep watching that tournament the more I realize bowsers swipe and drop kick isn't so OP because it's strong, but because they're fast as well. There's no lag before or after like sheik's air attacks yet it's so much stronger.

So Rayman might have made the cut for playable characters then.

I got a feeling that was a slip of the tongue and he meant pac-man.

Could be. I can't find anything from Ubisoft stating this apart from them mentioning that they gave Nintendo a 3D model of Rayman to use.

The model's textures don't match up with the other playable characters. They'd have to re-texture Rayman or something.

I think I might die if Rayman is actually in Smash. I don't care if he ends up playing terrible; he'll be my main since he is one of the few characters I loved since becoming a gamer that's still around.

I dont see why people are dissing the fact that Rayman might be playable. He's France's answer to Mario as Sonic is Japan's answer to Mario. Nobody complained when Sonic showed up in Brawl, but they're gonna lose their minds once if Rayman is confirmed a playable character(I know it). I personally would like to see that be true since I'm a fan of Rayman.

Are they really? Rayman games are better than Mario and Sonic could ever hope to be; people need to STFU.
I so hope his Final Smash will involve another Rayman character lending a hand. I'd like to see them get Globox in there <3

I'm not kidding Hex. There are people who oddly enough don't want to see Rayman in Smash bros. Period. I don't even understand the complaints sometime. I just hope that his final smash is a badass final smash. To be honest. I have always imagined Rayman's final smash being to summon an army of rabbids who would just run around going berserk on the stage causing a lot of havoc for the other fighters(and even break the 4th wall a bit by making it hard for the gamer to see whats going on).

LOL.
On another note, I don't really mind either way if he is in or not.

Not really. Mario games are just the same thing every time, except with better graphics, and Sega really doesn't know what to do with Sonic anymore. He's still popular, so they keep cranking out fairly mediocre games.
The Rabbids games were an unfortunate detour while it seemed what to do with the core Rayman series was discussed, and they ended up with the extremely addictive and amazing Origins and Legends. I still would love to see them go back to 3D again, however; Rayman 2 was absolutely stunning and a treat to play.

Are we getting Zool? You know Amiga's answer to Sonic. Saying a game is "the answer" to a game character really is not a likly excuse for someone being included. If it was, Rayman would have been in PlayStation All-Stars, since he started out on the PS1 and Saturn. Also, no one complaned when Sonic was picked due to the big "Nintendo Vs Sega" thing that happened. I never heard of Rayman before a few years ago. It wasn't Sonic Vs Rayman or Rayman Vs Mario. It was Mario Vs Sonic. Now Snake is another Can of Worms. I have no idea what they were thinking with him.

Better than Mario? Yea. Better than Sonic? Debatable. I don't really care ether way. I don't think he fits in a Nintendo only game (Sonic is counted as a Nintendo character now apparently), but we have had Snake, so I guess we can have him.

Kinda wish that Ubisoft went with the Rayman 4 platform game where we had the rabbids as zombie like bunnies.

I agree that the 2D Mario's are like this, but all of the big 3D Mario games are actually pretty different.
As for Sega, I think the last good game I played from them was Sonic Generations.
