It's from an American comic strip named Calvin And Hobbes. The image was meant to be a parody of hardboiled detective novels with their heavy drinking detectives.
AND I LOVE IT CLX!

Um... yes. I already knew everything you said (I asked him directly via PM). I was criticizing the poor resolution.

Ok, well I couldn't see your PMs in your post.
And honestly, the resolution looks fine.  If you know the original image, it's instantly recognizable for fans of the comic strip.  Not only that, it's very hard to compress what was a very large image into the size required for an avatar on here.  Don't think it's very much of his fault. /me shrugs

Which is why I told you that in the first place, so that you could know. Besides, I wasn't gonna post my PM on a public post.

Perphas I should have worded things differently in order to make myself clear. Something like "thank you for your response Cosmyk but I already asked CLXcool about it". In fact, I could have mentioned the name of the character on the original message talking about the resolution, so that people can know that, well, I know the character in the picture.

Fair enough. I didn't that into account.

I never said it was his fault or anything of the sorts. I was just pointing things out.

Yeah, but where exactly is that pic from?

And what about your new pic while we are at it?

No clue.

This new one is from a 4Koma mag about Fire Emblem Awakening. Character's name is Tharja, and its a joke about her trying to conquer her introverted nature.

I think yours could benefit from zooming in a little bit. I can tell its Bendy, but I can't see what it is they're holding.
