RE: Gaming news - RepentantSky - 03-05-2018 Yo like, I know Bandai Namco's business model is to release often lower budget games in quick succession, which is why they have so many dev teams under their employ, but I think they might be starting to lose sight of what would make for a good game: https://www.dualshockers.com/record-grancrest-war-ps4-game-announced/ First off, they just announced this game and it's releasing in three months in Japan. Second off, it doesn't look like a game that it set to release at any point this year. Third off, Grancrest Senki as it's actually known in Japan, is currently sitting at a 6.67 rating. Fourth, I frequent an anime forum and watch a lot of videos about upcoming anime for each season, and no one mentioned this one for Winter 2018. Fifth and finally, this is the second time in the last year that Bandai Namco has announced a game for an anime that's still airing and hasn't had time to build a fan-base. To make things worse, I can't remember what the other anime was, and I can't find anything talking about the game when it was announced. All I remember about it is that people started liking it, and then something happened and it started to decline like crazy. Despite Bandai Namco's business model, I think they might be trying too hard. They have Ni No Kuni II, Soul Calibur VI, Little Witch Academia, God Eater 3 and Dark Souls Remastered all on the Horizon after already releasing DBFZ which sold over 2 million copies and set a record for the most concurrent players on a PC fighting game. I think they should be pretty satisfied with a year like that, and yet here we are, they are still popping out pretty useless shovelware titles. I just don't get it. RE: Gaming news - RepentantSky - 03-18-2018 Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming August 28th for the West. https://gematsu.com/2018/03/yakuza-kiwami-2-coming-west-august-28 Not there's anyone who didn't see thing coming, but I mean, you gotta wonder why they never bothered talking about it until now. If it's due out so soon, you know they've been working on the Western port a while now, and some people are just as excited for this as they are for The Song of Life. Seems like a weird way to do things.
