The ending of Tom and Jerry: Sherlock Homes has a wedding of Red and the wolf. Paying tribute to the uncut version of Red Hot riding hood. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - CosmykTheDolfyn - 02-05-2014 The average Professional (and highly trained) singer has a vocal range of around 1.5 octaves. Rob Halford, original lead singer of Judas Priest, has a vocal range of 4 octaves. This is an extremely rare feat, and, had he went down a different career path, Rob could have become accomplished in almost any style of singing, not just his powerful Rock/Metal singing. The current world record, however, for largest vocal range is a full TEN octaves, by Tim Storms. He also holds the record for lowest note ever produced vocally by a human. HOW is 10 octaves even possible ? Surely after a while, only machines and other animals could pick it up. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - CosmykTheDolfyn - 02-05-2014 That's actually what exactly happens, my dear SERIOUSLY THOUGH. Tim's voice becomes so low (8 hertz) that it is inaudiable to human ears. You can, however, still feel the vibrations from his voice. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - frankfrost2 - 02-05-2014 Not sure if this has been posted or not, but cats cannot taste sweetness in foods. They lack the receptor to taste it. I remember scientists saying they were somewhat unsure of this though, or that cats are changing so that they do, since there are several cases of cats eating sweet foods. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - gamemaster1991 - 02-06-2014 To help out Shane and who ever else is doing the new show, here are some.... Did You Know? Movies Jim Hanks, brother of Tom Hanks (who also helped with the Woody stuff), doubled for his brother in many of the running scenes in Forest Gump. The Shark in the movie "Jaws" is named after the Steven Spielberg's lawyer, Bruce. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," which was first part of "Fantasia," was the first time Mickey was drawn with pupils. The first use of the (in)famous Wilhelm Scream was in 1951 for the film "Distant Drums," where they had one man recorded six short pained screams, which were slated for "man getting bit by an alligator, and he screams." The fifth scream was used for the soldier, but the 4th, 5th, and 6th screams recorded in the session were also used earlier in the film when three Indians are shot, one after another, during a raid on a fort. Ever since than, the scream can be heard in over 217 titles (and counting), such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Aladdin, Spider-Man, Assassin's Creed III, Call of Duty, and 1953's The Charge at Feather River, where a soldier named Pvt. Wilhelm gets shot in the leg by an arrow (Where it's name comes from). RE: General "Did you Know?"s - Psychospacecow - 02-09-2014 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_%28serial%29 Did You Know, Batman's first acted appearance was in a military propaganda film released in 1943, which possessed anti-German and anti-Japanese ethnic slurs. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - CLXcool - 02-09-2014 Time for some Did you know Disney Did you know, that during the development of Fantasia, ''The Sorcerer's Apprentice'' segment was originally going to have Dopey(from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs) as the apprentice. This idea was later changed to Mickey being the apprentice when Walt Disney was looking for ways to get Mickey Mouse popular again at the time. It has been said, that an inappropriate Mickey short film was made in 1936. A couple of animators got together and made a little reel for Walt Disney's birthday. The short in question had Mickey and Minnie having sex. After the film was shown, Walt asked who animated this film. After the animators showed themselves(their names are never given) Walt later fired them from the Disney studio. Nobody knows if the film exists, apart from the fact that Walt wanted this removed from existence. Some believe it while others say it was just an urban legend of film. A similar film(although shown at a private party for those who attended the move to the extended spot for the Fleischer studio) of Betty boop and Popeye was shown(I'm not going to explain in detail. Just use your imagination to picture it). The follow-up to Ducktales(if you can call it that) Quack pack was much different from the finished product. It originally started out as Donald returning from the navy to find that Scrooge Mccduck has decided to let Donald run his company. While Donald is being a new boss to his uncle's company, he would have gotten back together with Daisy, and his nephews who are in their teen years(but are still the nephews that Donald knows and loves). According to a few Disney animators. One of the executives noted that the Ducktales movie wasn't as much of a hit as Disney was expecting to be. When they saw the rise of live-action teen comedies at the time, they wanted an animated show that followed similar routes to those products. They later ditched the planned concept and made Quack Pack heavily focused on Donald's nephews, and was made to be more 'hip' at the time. Rumor had it that the late Carl Barks(who wrote and drawn the comics of Disney's ducks) had hated it because of the show having no connection to any of the duck stories that Carl worked on for Disney. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - CosmykTheDolfyn - 02-09-2014 I remember having an old VHS tape of Quack Pack when I was a kid. I loved it. It was one of my favorite videos. I pretty much memorized this episode revolving around them finding a fake UFOs. And there was another episode revolving around Huey becoming a hermit. Ahh, memories. Thanks for the nostalgia, ClXcool. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - CosmykTheDolfyn - 02-14-2014 DOW Chemical company out of Michigan, USA, the second largest chemical manufacturer in the world, paid for the filming of a comedy film in Yugoslavia in 1985. No, seriously. You see, the company had a large collection of funds in Yugoslavia that could not be freed up for use, however they found a loophole that would allow them to get back all their funds if they funded a film production based in Yugoslavia. So, the company paid to have that unknown classic "Transylvania 6-5000" filmed in the country. Here's the trailer for it. By the way, I suggest watching it. It is the perfect example of a movie so wretchedly bad, it's great. RE: General "Did you Know?"s - Psychospacecow - 02-20-2014 There was an Iranian Bear that Polish Soldiers adopted and named Wojtek. He became an official soldier in The Polish army, play wrestled with people, apparently learned to shower on his own, and delivered artillery munitions.
