I haven't, but I'm the asshole in my best friend's lending story.

My first Pokemon game was Leaf Green, and I loved it to hell and back, but I was terrible at it. Granted, I was 8 and nearly failed math class several times, but still. So my buddy decides to be a cool guy and lend me his Typholsion to help me beat the Elite 4, which I had previously never done. It was cool and I stomped them.

One time I lend a few issues of the Sonic the hedgehog comic from Archie to a good friend of mine(who also read them, but wanted to read the ones that he didn't get that i had to catch up on the storyline). When I asked for them back. He got a little nervous, he didn't lose them, but it turned out that his little brother ripped them. In the end. A few Christmases ago, I found a package at my front door with a small letter that said 'Sorry for ripping your comics'. And found out that there were the issues that I lend to my friend. New ones for that matter. Learned a lesson. Don't lend the comics to anyone unless you know well that they will be safe from out of siblings reach.

Man, your stories just keep reminding me of terrible things. I had a similar thing happen to me once... No, actually twice. And both times it was the same person. When I was a kid and Pokémon was the new cool thing, I bought (or possibly my mother did) a strategy guide for Red and Blue. I didn't have either of the games but I loooooooved the series and the cards you could collect. My friend who had Pokémon Red asked if he could have the guide, so I gave it to him. When I got it back, it was in terrible shape and the covers were missing. Turned out his dog had gotten its teeth on it. I still have the guide but its coverless, ripped pages remind me of that day every time I see it.

The second thing that happened was that I lent him my copy of Operation Raccoon City. When I went to get it back I forgot to take it with me and left it on his couch. The next time I saw him he gave it back to me. The covers were shattered to tiny pieces because he had accidentally sat on it. Thankfully the disc itself was unharmed, which is kind of a miracle considering there was almost nothing left of the covers, and I was able to put the slightly dented cover paper in a new, empty case with the game.

Despite him always messing up my stuff (those two times were no exceptions, just the ones that I was suddenly reminded of), as you can propably tell from the release dates of the games I mentioned we're still friends.

Oh, and once I gave my Donald Duck's Quack Attack to a dude and his little brother messed up the covers. The front cover is completely cracked in half.
