So... did you bring your gameboy? Could probably bang out a few gyms while under siege. I actually carry my DS on me since the attack. On the day, we were evacuated so quickly that I didn't have time to take my phones or tablet. I met some new people, though, so that was nice. Curse you, random terrorist! Making people with out handheld games be social with strangers. RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - CosmykTheDolfyn - 03-22-2015 Remember, today's the day!!! Award ceremony this afternoon on the VG Facts mumble server! Just a few more hours to get votes in. Please vote in the format used in the example on the first page!!! RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 03-22-2015 What is a Mumble and how does it work ? We've kind of run out of time for the Skype group call, but we do have a Mumble server dedicated to the VGNetwork (and a room specifically for VGFacts that fits 100 people). Details on that server and it's log in info are in this thread: http://www.vgfacts.com/forums/thread-2355.html And a Mumble Tutorial can be found here: This video shows how to connect to a new server (which you will have to do unless you have the VGFacts Mumble Server saved already like me) and how to set your microphone correctly. Edit: BTW, the planned time to start is 5 PM Eastern Standard Time. RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - Petie - 03-22-2015 I totally missed the fact that this was planned for 5 today until just now. I won't be able to make it as I won't be home, unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to the results all the same! RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 03-22-2015 Right, I got this Mumble thing working, just had a brief chat with PsychoSpaceCow. See you all at 17h Eastern ! RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - gamemaster1991 - 03-22-2015 I wished you would have brought up the fact that we were doing this via Mumble a few days ago. I'm downloading it as I type and I'll test it out between now and 5, and hopefully I'll be in the chat with all of ya'll. Edit: Up, running, and ready to roll. RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - BumblebeeCody - 03-22-2015 MumblebeeCody is present. RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - CLXcool - 03-22-2015 My votes will be in shortly. RE: VGFacts Awards 2015 Nominees! - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 03-22-2015 Given that it turns out that BumblebeeCody has a heart of pure gold (http://www.vgfacts.com/forums/thread-1672-post-51761.html#pid51761) - I hereby nominate him for a last minute award : "Most humane and charitable human of the forums award" PS - Europeans, remember that North America has already gone to Daylight savings time, so 17h Eastern is 21h London time. I feel sheltered sometimes when I talk with people from Europe. Places closer to the equator are less likely to change times (as it doesn't vary that much from season to season), same for countries where a high percentage of the population wakes and goes to bed with the sun (so not much use of clocks and therefore why bother changing the time?). I remember when I lived in Scotland, we'd sometimes see the sun set at 15h before daylight saving kicked in, meaning the sun would rise at 8h30. All those walks to school in the dark, good thing it was a safe place ! |
