RE: Steam Summer Sale! - gsninja - 07-13-2013

I got both Darksiders games for a combined $13.98 since they were 80% off. Now I'm just hoping for Final Fantasy VII to go on sale.

I would not recommend it because from what i have been reading, SE did nothing really new outside of some achievements and what not. You are better off looking on the PSN for a digital version, at least the music would be justified.

Though, you can mod the game to add in the non-midi music along with other mods to enchance the game and stuff.

Yeah, I bought it on day one. I already have the original PS1, PSN and SE Store version but I had to buy it again because it was on steam.

The good news is pretty much all the original FFVII PC mods work - I've swapped out the music right away for a mix of Crow'sClaw, The Black Mages and the original OST music to make the game sound beautiful, I've also got the higher quality textures installed.

As for the sale itself;

I've already got the games that've been on the daily deals so I've just been picking up some of the flash deals. The community choices so far have NEVER swung in my favor. I was sad when Dishonoured didn't get picked over borderlands 2 (which was cheaper on loads of other outlets like Game.co.uk in the UK with steam activation), but whatcha' gonna do.

There are some pretty bad times to only have 3 dollars in your reserves. This is one of them.

SELL TRADING CARDS FOR JUST BELOW THE CURRENT PRICE.
Seriously, I went from having $4.80 to $7.90 just from selling all of my free cards for dirt cheap, it's not much, but it put me over the $5 threshold.

RE: Steam Summer Sale! - Sohakmet - 07-14-2013

I got so far: M&M:CoH, Bioshaq1 and 2, LA Noire, Warp, Sleeping Dogs, Hotline Miami, Just Cause 2, Chivalry: MW aaaaannd Scribblenauts Unlimited

and I still want to get myself Castle Crashers and Fallout 3 or New Vegas :3

RE: Steam Summer Sale! - Arjahn - 07-15-2013

Um... cake, Lightmatt quoted what was here before I realized that my rage was misplaced. Carry on.

It's still 85% off. You just have to look at the store page instead the front page.

Oh, they fixed it now, apparently it was just a weird error.

All of those hours of photoshopping a hat onto a picture, all for nothing.

I don't know if any of you guys are trying to collect the cards for the Summer Badge but I've got a spare copy of the following cards;

Reus
Torchlight II
Skyrim

I really need Bioshock Infinite, Dead Island Riptide and Kerbal Space Program.

In other news, Finally picked up Dishonoured since it hit 66% discount anyway. Wasn't sure it would when it was a community vote and it was beat out.

If you're still looking to trade I'll trade you a Dead island card for your Reus card. Nevermind, i just realized it's a Tomb Raider card and not a riptide card.

RE: Steam Summer Sale! - Xannidel - 07-17-2013

I just purchased Surgeon Sim 2013 and also Deus Ex: HR (Augmented Edition) for like $8-$9 for both. Not too shabby.

RE: Steam Summer Sale! - Psychospacecow - 07-17-2013

My brother got me ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead. All I need now is a proper mic but I can play Day Z now.

Well you don't need a mic to play Dayz, and in fact might benefit you if you don't. If you see another person in that game you should shoot them.
