RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Wardenclyffe - 07-13-2013 Has anyone ever heard of a manga called Peepo Choo? I was on Comicsalliance looking through their "Best Art Ever This Week" and there was a picture of a girl wearing a yellow jacket with a TMNT patch and a Iron Maiden shirt. That was pretty much all I needed to be interested, but I can't find anything about it anywhere. It was made by a guy born and was in college in the states named Felipe Smith who learned about different art styles at the college. He later moved to Japan to make his manga and it became published there. I have some good friends online who have physical copies and have read it, noting that it's actually really good. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - JiraiyaSennin - 07-15-2013 I just finished watching Death Note and I absolutely loved it. It was a roller coaster of your mind and your emotions; the ending was amazing and played out how I thought it would. Overall I thought it was just so awesome. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Ghost Nappa - 07-15-2013 Well, I finally finished Naruto....on to Shippuden! RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - JiraiyaSennin - 07-17-2013 So I wanted to start watching Bleach and I heard that it had been cancelled for some reason. Does anyone know why it got cancelled? Does anyone know why it got cancelled? Other than it became terrible by episode X? I dunno, I haven't watched television since I moved out of my parents' house. Try watching the subbed version online somewhere? I already have the website where I can watch it, but I just wanted to know whether it's still going, so I don't waste my time watching something that has no end. Does anyone know why it got cancelled? Well, you might as well skip Bleach anyway because it never ends... I'm not sure if it's Kubo's fault or the people he works with, but they seem determined to rehash the same story arc as much as it can to keep Bleach going. Does anyone know why it got cancelled? That's why I stop watching Inuyasha. That, and it was dull as hell (no pun intended). If I wanted to see one person do the same thing over and over again with out getting any where, I'd watch Dragon ball Z, but at lest I would not be hearing two desperate lovers say each others names for the entire series. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - MexicanAnime - 07-17-2013 If you want something in a similar style but actually decent, try out Soul Eater. Does anyone know why it got cancelled? Probably because it started sucking after the soul society arc, or at least that's what my brother says, because after that it's one giant ass filler arc, and then an arc that's pretty good then back to more filler, it's not worth watching. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Ghost Nappa - 07-17-2013 What's a filler? RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - gamemaster1991 - 07-17-2013 (07-17-2013, 01:51 PM)Ghost Nappa Wrote: What's a filler? It's the stuff place in the anime to fill up the space the manga does not cover. Exmple: The bount arc in bleach was never apart of the manga and was made so the manga could make more chapters to make into anime episodes. Some animes skip filler and make up the story along the way when they run out of material. Full Metal Alchemist did this before the reboot. It's also used to make a season last longer. As such a filler arc can have filler episodes when they have no idea how to continue on. Most filler episodes are one offs that really have nothing to do with the plot. Examples: the characters trying to make dinner for the main character. The Christmas/Valentines/one off holiday episode. The beach episode. |
