RE: Favorite ... in gaming - Kakariko Kid - 02-19-2017 Tyson and Rios. Army of Two. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - CosmykTheDolfyn - 02-20-2017 Carrion Crow from the first Front Mission game. One of the best SNES games easily, check out the fan translation of it sometime. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - retrolinkx - 02-21-2017 Not sure if it counts, but I've always enjoyed the final group you have at the end of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. It's two armies brought together to defend around 500 civilians and soliders. This rag tag team consists of the main character, his assistant (and superior), a doctor, a girl with amnesia and two CO's from an opposing army that you beat halfway through the game, and have sided with you to help you take out the greater evil. Gage is probably my favourite character from that game. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - Psychospacecow - 02-21-2017 Eh, I'd say a large portion of Days of Ruin probably counts. Favorite Speeder. No vehicle they have to enter. If they wear it, its fine. Just fast. Can't stop. Won't stop. I choose Lucio. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 02-27-2017 Favorite Nightclub/Bar/Cafe/Social Club/etc. Basically, any place designed for social interaction with others. I'll go with the Pao Pao Cafe (as well as it's sister place, Pao Pao Cafe 2) from the Fatal Fury series, mostly because of it's story of being an oasis in the crime-ridden city of Southtown, where fighters and normal folks alike, from all backgrounds and walks of life, can relax and enjoy themselves. Note: the original Pao Pao Cafe is pictured above, while Pao Pao Cafe 2 is pictured below. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - gamemaster1991 - 02-27-2017 The Stray Sheep from Catherine comes to mind. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 03-03-2017 Favorite Lusophone. I'll choose Marco Rodriguez/Khushnood Butt from the Fatal Fury series, mostly because it's refreshing to see an Brazilian character who is a bit more serious for a change of pace (nothing against upbeat characters, mind you), also, he's Ryo Sakazaki's aprentice, which is obviously a plus. INB4 Psycospacecow will choose Lucio from Overwatch. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - Psychospacecow - 03-04-2017 Eddy Gordo actually. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - Kakariko Kid - 03-05-2017 Blanka, anyone? RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 03-08-2017 Favorite hispanophone. I'll go with Luis Fernando Lopez, the protagonist of the GTA IV expansion Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. The reason about why he is my favorite is because of his "no bullshit allowed" attitude as well as his exchanges with the other characters. Seriously, dude got some of the best dialogues in the whole game (counting the main story and TLAD). This one is a favorite of my mine: Quote:Ray Bulgarin: "you are dead, dead, dead, deaddddddddddddd" RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 03-18-2017 Favorite badass Grampa. Basically, those old folks that doesn't let their age get in the way of kicking some ass. For this one, i'll go with Oro from the Street Fighter series, dude is over 130 years old yet he is one of the most powerful characters in the SF universe, so powerful in fact, that he handicaps himself by tiying one of his arms (and despite having so much power, Oro is considerably modest, only considering himself a novice of his style). The artwork above was made by 'Falcoon', btw. RE: Favorite ... in gaming - The Table Destroyer - 03-19-2017 (03-18-2017, 05:57 PM)Zpace Jockey Wrote: Favorite badass Grampa. Basically, those folks out there who don't let their age stop them from having an active and productive life. And one way of having an active and productive life is... well, to be a badass grandpa? RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 03-19-2017 (03-19-2017, 05:05 AM)Hajime Wrote: grandpa? Yes, "grandpa"; as in "papa" and grandfather. In this context, "grandpa" is just another way of saying "old man". RE: Favorite ... in gaming - Kakariko Kid - 03-19-2017 Master Rossi, Dragon Ball series RE: Favorite ... in gaming - ChristopherJTeuton - 03-19-2017 If we're talking strictly about old people that doesn't let age get in the way of kicking ass, many of the Mortal Kombat chartacters would fall into this category. In particular, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, and Kitana. Not Mileena or Sindel, because they have both been resurrected artificially, and Raiden and Shinnok are gods so they kind of fall under different rules. But Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn are both from Outworld, and Kitana is from Edenia, which are basically parallel Earths. They all have 1000+ year lifespans. |
