I've got to wonder though. Can I get the old exp. share as well? I know it's late to be posting this since they're on the winners trophy handouts but damn. THe Pokemon World Championship finals was hype as heck! http://www.twitch.tv/pokemon You can see the ending ceremony here. PACHISIRU! RE: Pokemon Thread! - Psychospacecow - 08-18-2014 Hey people with X and Y, is there a way to get evolutionary stones outside of outright finding them? I want to evolve my doublade and Floette but I don't know if I should save any stones I find for something I EV trained. RE: Pokemon Thread! - retrolinkx - 08-19-2014 I'm laughing way too much at the jokes in Pokémon. I was rewatching Air Time from about 700 episodes ago, and Team Rocket were outside a radio station, they watched as Mary was doing the show and James commented that "People always told me I had the face for radio" and I was chuckling for about 10 seconds. I don't know, maybe I'm retarded. RE: Pokemon Thread! - Carlos - 08-23-2014 Why am I in the mood for Pokemon Fusion? Also, This. RE: Pokemon Thread! - RepentantSky - 08-26-2014 Why did no one post this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-WqRkiLe1A You can't tell me that's not awesome. RE: Pokemon Thread! - JiraiyaSennin - 08-26-2014 I think that's cool and all, but that isn't that exciting unless you specifically go to arcades. I was really hoping we would hear about a Pokemon game for the Wii U. Considering the name "Pokken Tournament" is copyrighted in the US/EU (where arcades don't exist) it's safe to assume the game will be like Street Fighter 4 and Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom; Acrade release in Japan, console release everywhere. RE: Pokemon Thread! - JiraiyaSennin - 08-26-2014 Even so, I am not a big fan of side scrolling type fighters like this, but it's cool for those who like those games and Pokemon games RE: Pokemon Thread! - RepentantSky - 08-26-2014 (08-26-2014, 07:56 PM)JiraiyaSennin Wrote: Even so, I am not a big fan of side scrolling type fighters like this, but it's cool for those who like those games and Pokemon games That's called a 2D fighter, which pretty much every successful fighting game franchise is. 3D fighters like DBZ games from Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and onward tend to do poorly in comparison. By all rights, this game using a Tekken like engine should produce the best product possible for a pokemon fighting game. RE: Pokemon Thread! - Psychospacecow - 08-26-2014 Typically, when a game is released in Japanese arcades initially, it is a field test. Its a control which more or less mainly consists of competitive fighting gamers and pokemon fans. By doing this, they are able to refine the game's mechanics and fix glitches before a console release. Besides, its more or less Tekken tradition to release in arcades first. Tekken is a 3D fighter and has been for a long time now and is the best selling fighting game series of all time. I'm hyped for Pokken Fighters but that's only because Namco are behind it. Lucario is the new Mishima, clearly. I preffer the feel of each game (at lest the older games) to the hard to master controls of Tekken. The story tends to use 3D fighting but online play like the recent Tekken Revolution free-to-play game uses 2D fighting and that part of the game is what people look for. Tekken is in tournaments with it's 2D fighting for eample, not the 3D. However that doesn't change the fact that DBZ games fail horribly as fighters in a financial way when compared to any decent fighting game franchise.
