RE: World News - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 08-31-2016 Brazil's Dilma Rouseff is out of the presidential office RE: World News - Hexadecimal - 09-03-2016 http://www.startribune.com/wetterling-suspect-leads-officials-to-unidentified-remains/392238471/ After 27 years it's very likely that Jacob Wetterling's remains have been found. This happened very close to where I live, and my mother has always kept track of this case because she helped search for him, so I've known about it ever since I was very little. I still remember driving through that town and her telling me the story. A shame he was killed, of course, but it was to be expected after so long. At the very least his family can get closure. RE: World News - Hexadecimal - 09-03-2016 http://www.kare11.com/news/wetterlings-remains-found-our-hearts-are-broken/313210664 There's no way it couldn't have been Jacob, but now it's already been confirmed 100% that the remains are his. It's all anyone talked about at work; I'm sure all of Minnesota is the same way. RE: Pictures Thread - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 09-04-2016 Thanks, BBC News. I'm glad I turned on notifications. (09-04-2016, 05:25 PM)SERIOUSLY THOUGH Wrote: How's the situation over there going ? Well, not sure if you heard about this but back in September 1st there was a Massive protest in the capital of Caracas (and the biggest pacific protest in the country's history, apparently) and there's going to be another one this Wednesday AND the next Wednesday, from what i heard. Oh, and in September 13st we are going to recieve the indications to activate the referendum call (FINALLY). "What's up with the referendum call?" Basically, Venezuela's constitution allows a recall referendum halfway through a president's six-year term. The opposition accuses the electoral council of stalling the process for a referendum so that it takes place next year. If that happens and Maduro loses, his Vice President would become president, keeping the Socialist Party in power. Reagrding everything else..eh, it's pretty much the same. |
