Its essentially an advertising thing that pays you to watch videos and download apps, stuff like that. It pays you in these points you can exchange for gift card codes for amazon, itunes etc. They even give you little codes to share with people after they get 15000 points (which doesn't take long at all, an game download is maybe 5k-11k points from what I've seen), which give points to both users.
