RE: Scary Shit. - Mass Distraction - 11-18-2013 ^Funny thing, I've actually seen that as live action on a Korean TV channel. I think the channel was called Arirang World. I'm sad I don't get that channel anymore, they actually had some good shows on there. Anyway, it was an episode of some Korean folklore and known ghost stories show and they actually had the final part of that comic on there. Also funny thing, I was using my 40" TV as my monitor when my friend sent me a link to that. Almost had a heart attack. Warning to people who want to read it: Jump scare. It's no fun if you warn people! RE: Scary Shit. - Cheshireson - 11-20-2013 I have a personal story for this one, but the scare factor is somewhat subjective to my own experience. Earlier this year, I was lying in bed in the dark browsing the web on my iPod when suddenly I hear the television across the room turn on. It displays the text "LINE 1" over a uniformly black screen, which is basically the auxiliary channel I use for gaming. However, I don't have a remote control for that television, so I don't exactly know how it turned on on its own. It sure scared the crap out of me though because I hid underneath the blankets for awhile before I turned it back off. But in regards to some things that are generally scary on the web, does anyone know what the program MS Paint sounds like if it's imported as raw data in Audacity? I do. Or, what the Crazy Bus main menu theme sounds like if it's slowed down 800%? Oh my... Here's something that happened to me a year or two ago. It's not really scary in any way unless you believe in consiparcy theories and the like. I had been to a music festival with a friend of mine and on the way there we had listened to a radio channel called Radio City, which tends to have lots of good old metal/heavy/rock songs. On the way back we had listened to music from my USB stick so the radio stayed on the channel. When I turned the radio back on a day or two later on the outskirts of the town I live in the sounds were all distorted and it was playing two or three channels on top of each other in the place of Radio City (that obviously couldn't be heard where I live) and the weirdest part was that instead of reading "Radio City" on the display it said "CIA". Normally when the radio is on a channel that can't be heard for whatever reason it either goes blank or just displays the channel number. This has never happend before or since. Actually, I was listening to the slowed down Crazy Bus theme while writing this and now I'm a bit creeped out. Accompanying the photos was a letter saying that this strange ape-like creature had been in her backyard on several occasions stealing apples out of a basket on her porch. She was convinced that the animal was an escaped orangutan, but others believe that this is photographic evidence of a Bigfoot like creature that is native to the Florida wilderness known as the skunk ape. |
