I mean, 4 heavily armed people hiding in an open and busy street like that is stupid, even more so because 3 of them hid behind holograms that people would be able to see through. The whole Batman "Bwahh" thing is not only far too tired and overused, it wasn't even used correctly, and I don't know that huge ship at the end had to wait for the one helicopter to land on it, accept for the epic shot cliche which isn't even done right because they are usually done with a reason, which this doesn't have. I'm happy Xcom 2 is happening, but this trailer sucks. I'm happy Xcom 2 is happening, but this trailer sucks. Well, to start off, the new game is set to take place in the events of a game where in Enemy Unknwon/Within, X-COM lost. That means that everything you see, the humans walking the streets, the machines, everything is alien in one degree or another. That company, that's how they control people. They either physically can't notice things beyond the minor scope allowed because the aliens don't want to incite panic in the humans, or they really just want it to happen. You take cover behind signs like that all the time in Enemy Unknown when in alien ships so it stands to reason that it would still work. The "Batman" trope you're describing is something we usually throw at cyberpunk and secret organization genres, like say X-Com, a series that has capitalized on big cheesy set pieces, space marines, and Roswell style aliens since it started up. That big ship for the helicopter, that is your base. It is a re-purposed alien cargo ship. That's the only way they have to not be wiped out outright because they're outgunned, outnumbered, etc. The base from Enemy Unknown/Within is gone. Dead. This base is of alien origin, its mobile, its all you have, and it doesn't raise suspicion. You don't send it out on missions. You use smaller transport, like a carrier. RE: Gaming news - Mass Distraction - 06-02-2015 So... Hatred released. It's getting surprisingly positive reviews. RE: Gaming news - Psychospacecow - 06-02-2015 I had a feeling it was trying to pull a Mortal Kombat. It looks like I was right. RE: Gaming news - CLXcool - 06-02-2015 Capcom has hired a new producer to take on the Megaman games http://www.gamnesia.com/news/capcom-has-a-new-producer-dedicated-to-the-mega-man-series#.VW4uqs9VhBd RE: Gaming news - Psychospacecow - 06-02-2015 Progress! I think its safe to say the blue bomber is preparing for a comeback. RE: Gaming news - Mass Distraction - 06-03-2015 They are trying to outdo Mighty No.9 It was a good plan to wait and see how that one would do, it was market testing without actually taking any risks. Not saying there wouldn't have been a demand for MM games but just a thought. RE: Gaming news - RepentantSky - 06-04-2015 If this surprises anyone, I'll honestly be more surprised than said surprised person(s), but Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 are coming to PS4 for 60 bucks with a Multiplayer Beta for Uncharted 4: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/06/04/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection-out-october-9th-on-ps4/ RE: Gaming news - CLXcool - 06-04-2015 (06-03-2015, 03:41 AM)Mass Distraction Wrote: They are trying to outdo Mighty No.9 That may be the case Mass. We all know that Mighty No. 9 is the ''Megaman game''(even though its a successor) from the creator of the series after dealing a never ending account of BS from Capcom's part. Maybe this is a sign that Capcom has finally saw the light of their mistakes. But its too early to tell at this moment. The only thing we can do is wait and see. RE: Gaming news - RepentantSky - 06-10-2015 Hyrule Warriors 3DS is a thing now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKIMoVuBRI8 And again it won't hyperlink. This videos can be so damn annoying. Also, Ratchet and Clank reboot trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iU3sU2WMcPM RE: Gaming news - retrolinkx - 06-10-2015 (06-10-2015, 04:07 PM)RepentantSky Wrote: Hyrule Warriors 3DS is a thing now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKIMoVuBRI8 Just put links whenever you post a link. Thanks for reminding me. RE: Gaming news - Mass Distraction - 08-16-2015 Well, this is certainly sad: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/08/14/guillermo-del-toro-vows-never-to-work-on-a-video-game-again |
