RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Hexadecimal - 10-12-2014 Update: OVA sucked balls. Didn't need to be made :/ RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Kai - 10-14-2014 Finally got around to finishing Tokyo Ghoul. I've heard the anime was pretty rushed with this season alone covering 80+ chapters. Apparently season 2 is confirmed as well so we'll see how that goes. Didn't need to be made :/ Pretty much my exact thoughts on the third OVA season of Black Lagoon. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - retrolinkx - 10-19-2014 Just started watching Log Horizon. It was on my backlog of stuff to watch which I never look at, so it's nice to have something to watch. Finished episode 1, good intro, I did like the humour so I'll be hoping for more. I do hope that the final few episodes are just large scale battles in which japanese anime logic helps each character to win the fight against the final boss, sort of like Gurran Laggan. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Pewable - 10-23-2014 Finished Kiseijuu, currently watching the anime. 3 episodes at the moment... It's nice, I like it. I started the anime Gegege no kitarou... It's in black and white, I am crazy! But it's cool. Now, will I find all the episodes? No idea... RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Hexadecimal - 10-26-2014 I've really felt like watching the old Dragon Ball cartoon since I remember really liking it as a kid. I've never seen it uncut... Goku gets naked a lot O_o RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - GameWizard001 - 10-26-2014 (10-26-2014, 10:36 AM)Hexadecimal Wrote: I've really felt like watching the old Dragon Ball cartoon since I remember really liking it as a kid. Yeah he does. They probably do more male nudity than female nudity in that show now that I think about it. On a separate note, I'm trying to watch all of Inuyasha now that it is done and Hulu has all the episodes. I remember watching it when I was younger late at night, but like DBZ when it was on Toonami, it gets to a certain point and then resets back to the beginning because either the new English dub wasn't yet finished or they didn't have the American TV airing rights to it yet. Either way it got annoying seeing the beginning episodes again when you wanted to see what happened next. He keeps touching crotches as well since that's the only way he can figure out if someone male or female. Man, now I want to see the censored version I watched as a kid to figure out how they maneuvered around some of these things. I think instead of asking to see her panties, Roshi asked to see Bulma's belly button in the version I watched. Good lucky with that; Inuyasha gets so annoying with all the filler they put in there. I'd see if anyone has made a list of episodes you should watch and/or skip. I think you are right about him asking to see a belly button in exchange for his dragon ball he has. They of course still edit showing her ass and just show the motion of her lifting her oversized pajama shirt up. As to Inuyasha, yeah I've been skipping lots of episodes, either because they are fillers or because they are either boring or set up episodes to ones I'd rather see. Although once I get to the point I stopped watching the show when it was on Toonami/Adult Swim/Cartoon Network I will have to start paying more attention to the descriptions on Hulu so I will know if I'm wasting my time or not. Did that with Naruto and their filler episodes. Just let them keep piling up and skipping them because I felt it was unnecessary to watch them, even fillers that are pure back story on characters. I found some of them irrelevant because I already know enough about some characters without really needing their history. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - JiraiyaSennin - 10-26-2014 I actually have a few filler lists that I've found for Inuyasha. They are all a little different so take them as you will. I'll put them in order of most reliable. 1. http://inuyasha.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Filler_episodes?display=page&sort=alphabetical 2. http://diamed-the-road-less-traveled.blogspot.com/2013/05/inuyasha-filler-guide.html 3. http://boards.adultswim.com/t5/General-Action-Discussion/Inuyasha-Filler-Episode-List-possible-spoilers/td-p/19970140/page/2 4. http://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/inuyasha RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - gamemaster1991 - 10-26-2014 (10-26-2014, 07:00 PM)GameWizard001 Wrote: As to Inuyasha, yeah I've been skipping lots of episodes, either because they are fillers or because they are either boring or set up episodes to ones I'd rather see. I tried watching both Inuyasha and Naruto resently, but Inuyasha got way to boring way to fast, and when I got later in the series, I could not stand half the cast. As for Naruto, it's the first time I HAD to go with sub due to Naruto's voice and Naruto's voice alone. Naruto and Bleach are the only animes that I did not mind the filler arcs. To me, they added a little bit to the series (though Bleach knew when they were getting stale). RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Mass Distraction - 10-27-2014 So I just watched Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack, based on Junji Ito's manga. It was... weird. Now I'm afraid of walking fish. Believe it. Naruto was pretty bad when it came to filler too if I remember correctly. Its kind of funny because whenever there was a filler episode, DeviantArt got a lot happier. RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Zaliphone - 10-27-2014 I remember my friend and I thinking that the one filler episode of Naruto where Kakashi reveals that under his mask is another mask was the funniest damn thing in the world. And it totally still is. |
