RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Psychospacecow - 05-31-2014 Its corporate business. That doesn't necessarily mean they're good at it. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - CLXcool - 05-31-2014 ^Business men are humans as well. They make mistakes as well, so nobody's perfect. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - CLXcool - 06-14-2014 What happens when you take the art style of Bill Plympton, add the actions and expressions of a dog from Chuck Jones, and throw in a pinch of clever political humor? You get this. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - GameWizard001 - 06-16-2014 I felt this thread was appropriate for this. Just the other day I heard that Casey Kasem passed away. For many of us, we knew him well as the voice of Shaggy from Scooby Doo or even his radio show. But I just saw this picture just now and it may be one of the saddest things I've seen. Even though for a good while now there are many out there taking up the mantle of the voice of Shaggy, Casey Kasem will always be Shaggy in my mind. So to see this image makes me sad but also a little happy to know that this man helped in some small ways make my childhood good. R.I.P. Mr. Kasem. R.I.P Shaggy. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - CLXcool - 06-16-2014 ^I heard the news. Saddening it is. It doesn't help the fact that he was on life support for awhile now. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Hexadecimal - 06-16-2014 Forgot all about this cartoon. Really wish it would have been picked up and become its own show. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - CLXcool - 06-16-2014 The mina and the count short originated from Cartoon network. It has been speculated that it would later influence the cartoon network show Billy and Mandy(although, Mina and the count is better compared to Billy and Mandy in my opinion. Its a late Ren and Stimpy rip off). RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Hexadecimal - 06-16-2014 (06-16-2014, 09:24 PM)CLXcool Wrote: The mina and the count short originated from Cartoon network. An internet buddy recently told me that Nick had a few more shorts made of it and than dropped it. I freaked out and was so happy to see what I'd missed. I actually hated Billy and Mandy. Mandy was just a flipping bitch and Billy was a moron. Grim was fine, but those kids ruined the show for me and I could never sit through an entire episode. They had a lot of good ideas that could have been explored if they became as full fledged cartoons(like my favorite short out of all WAC shorts Malcolm and Melvin).(06-16-2014, 09:24 PM)CLXcool Wrote: The mina and the count short originated from Cartoon network. Mandy was a devil spawn from hell who was unlikable to the point where she ruined everything for everyone. And Billy was about as retarded as a zombie without a brain. As I said, its a late rip off of ren and stimpy(the fact that its obvious doesn't help it either). RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Newt - 06-17-2014 http://mashable.com/2014/06/16/powerpuff-girls-reboot-cartoon-network-2016/ Somewhat excited. I was never too into Power Puff Girls as a kid, but it's still cool we're getting it back. Though I honestly just want a final episode of samurai Jack. I'll propably end up giving it a watch when it starts. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Hexadecimal - 06-17-2014 I'm really surprised how much I like the show Wander Over Yonder. It really reminds me of 90s cartoons, except it isn't as mean spirited as a lot of cartoons started to be around that time. I honestly wonder what started that trend; seem like way too many just involved the main character(s) getting shit on. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Psychospacecow - 06-17-2014 I actually really liked all the characters in Billy and Mandy. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - JiraiyaSennin - 06-17-2014 Same here, it's actually one of my favorite cartoons. RE: Favorite cartoons & cartoon talk - Mass Distraction - 04-12-2015 As a less popular opinion (in more ways than one) the season opener for MLP S5 was propably the most boring two-parter in the series. I guess they tried doing something different this time but I honestly prefer the more hectic openers. |
