It's basically no provoking. Don't say something to someone that will get them to respond inappropriately.
It's like saying something just to cause an argument. It has happened a couple of times today, already. It doesn't happen often here, but it's a good rule to have.

That is a very loose rule. Someone could interpret something like sarcasm as someone actually provoking you. Just what I thought.

If you watch the original Star Wars movies backwards, it's about a guy who kisses his sister, and then copes with it by forgetting she was ever his sister in the first place and eventually moves in with his Aunt and Uncle in the desert due to his shame.

It's not a loose rule at all.
It's combining rule #1 into something else. It's making rule #1 way more clear. Basically more to it than that.
