Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - CLXcool - 10-31-2013 Some of us know that some licensed video games are good(Ducktales, Goldeneye, Telltale's Back to the future and Walking Dead) while others just flat out suck(Beetlejuice, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street). So this thread is to discuss about what movies, tv shows, comic books/graphic novels that could work as video games. Name the product, who you want to develop the game, how the gameplay should be, and why you want it(make sure you give your reason in detail please). After seeing a few comments of some comparison between Who Framed Roger Rabbit and L.A Noire. I have decided that I would like to see a new Roger Rabbit game made by the team who developed L.A Noire. They could use a mixture of cel-shading(for the 'animated' characters) while using 3D for the real people who resemble live-action. Gameplay wise. I can imagine it working out in a mixture between Grim Fandango's gameplay as an adventure game. That would be a good game to buy(if they can even get Bob Hoskins to come out of retirement to voice Eddie Valiant). Although. I am not holding my breath since Disney doesn't want to make any deals with Rockstar games(since they are known for getting into trouble with the media with video games). But it still be a great video game. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - CosmykTheDolfyn - 10-31-2013 AND NOT BASED ON THAT CRAPPY MOVIE EITHER!!! LIKE THE CARTOON!!! RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - CLXcool - 10-31-2013 ^If my my memory serves. The video game that they got is considered very crappy. With a new film of Peabody and Sherman being made by Dreamworks. You can expect a video game to happen. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - Mass Distraction - 10-31-2013 I would want to say My Little Pony: Friendship is magic but I ain't gonna go to details since it's already being discussed here. The only other one I can think of at this exact moment is Resident Evil. No, I'm not an idiot. I mean the comic book titled "Resident Evil" by Ricardo Sanchez. Yes, it does take place in the same universe BUT I would love to see it being made into its own game for I really liked the characters. Something like RE5 but with zombies and no, I'm not talking about RE6. I'll post something better when I come up with it. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - CosmykTheDolfyn - 10-31-2013 Thanks, didn't know those existed. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - Psychospacecow - 10-31-2013 I think that The Walking Dead could make a great game. Oh wait.. Teen Titans has some potential. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - CosmykTheDolfyn - 10-31-2013 This song/music video could be expanded into an awesome video game or comic. Gritty war game where you play as a ghostly, near invincible superhero. Sounds awesome to me. Not much to work with though, but the general idea would be very cool. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - gamemaster1991 - 10-31-2013 The problum with most movie/Tv shows I want as games are that they are already games and they suck. That being said, was there ever a Gargoyles game? That seems like it would be a good game. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - retrolinkx - 10-31-2013 Judge Dredd remake should've been a game. A Rougelike, Metroidvania type game. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - Arjahn - 10-31-2013 I'd still like to see an Avatar: The Last Airbender MMO. Choose a faction and bend and stuff, I think it could be great if done well. Just follow on what I said before in the first post regarding on what you want for gameplay and stuff. Your talking about the Disney cartoon are you? If so, then yes, there has been a Gargoyles game. It was released from Sega. Its very good I might add. RE: Movies/tv shows/comics that could work as video games - Mass Distraction - 11-05-2013 Just think of all the puzzles! I'm thinking of a 3DS and WayForward. |
