Half Life Refrences in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - Makarov - 11-05-2013

So apparently after the events of Half Life, Gordon Freemen decided to head over to
Chernobyl. Here is some evidence to the point.

Gordon's body:

Quote from PDA found on said body:

Quote:12.01.2012
God damn my bosses...won't leave an old man alone. First Mesa, then some strange town in Russia. And now they send poor little Gordon into the endless Ukrainian plains. Take your jemmy and have fun.

Made it into the Zone. Are there really no bears here? Who am I going to fight then? I'm not finding my bearings too well in this place. I had to give my little crowbar away for a can of meat.

26.04.2012
The blowout has started. The Barkeep told me to hide my ass and keep it hidden. I chased some rats out of an abandoned tunnel. I hope to wait out the bad weather in here.

He was supposed to be part of a barkeep mission to recover a pistol, the code of which refers to him as "familiar" in reference to the Half Life series.

The mission code:

<text>Find the foreigner's gun.</text>
</string>

An interesting assignment. The name rings a bell...
but where do I know him from?</text>

There once was this foreigner in our neck of the woods...
Gordon was his name? His whole manner gave out an experienced
stalker, but he said he’d never been to the Zone. But anyway,
that’s not the point. He did vanish somewhere in the Zone eventually.
But he had this rather curious thing, the Black Kite. If I could just
take a closer look at it..

Close by him he also has a gun (it's inside of a box in the cargo crate). Thsi gun is a custom Desert Eagle called Big Ben. The name could be a take off of the famous clock tower of the same name or (since it is found near Gorden's body) it could be a reference to Half-Life creator, Gabe Newell, specifically his famous email "gaben@valvesoftware.com" and his corpulent weight.

I turned this one in yesterday, but I'm thinking your going to get the spot instead of me, since you have more info than I put in it.
