Your Favorite Game Modes In Multiplayer Games? - frankfrost2 - 01-09-2014

I'm pretty curious, what are your favorite game modes in games with multiplayer? I would prefer online multiplayer game modes, but offline game modes work, too.

Mine would have to be Infected mode on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3/Ghosts. I don't know why, but I used to play that a lot, and I still do.

Interrogation mode from The Last Of Us is pretty fun. I just like the whole concept of it and the risk of getting killed opening the safes.

I'd say GRFS but its online falls along the lines of no support, 1 shot kills and blocking the enemy team in their base before they do you.

I always loved co-op experiences.

Bomb-omb blast in Mario kart double dash. I know this sounds wacky, but I use to have a real close group of friends that we'd have parties centered around that game nearly every week for a few years. It gets wild.

So much noise was had during that part MKDD parties :D

I really like one-shot kill game modes, but only with people I know. People online tend to always be better than I am..
With the OSK, there's no running around shooting, you have to be real careful so that you see and aim at the other before they scope you. Great fun.

That was always a good one.

My favorite mode though was any version of Swat with no armor in Halo. It was also about who could get the quickest headshot and I loved that it took skill to be quick on the trigger finger.

Here's one that deserves a mention. The heist in Conker's Bad Fur day.

Getting 2 people on a yu-gi-oh! game's always fun.
2 people in a fighting game is amazing.
2 people in a survival or co-op thing is great.
Pokemon battles are a whole different tier of awesome.

I agree with Cosmyk on MKDD, but I definitely preferred Balloon Battle.

Virus in Timesplitters was always fun.

Usually I like playing long games, where the teams have to successfully defend or take a point, so whenever I played Battlefield I would usually choose Rush or Conquest.

I don't mind TDM, but I only play that to rank up guns.

Domination is pretty fun too, since you can top the leader boards without getting any kills, which I find pretty funny.

I rarely play anything online but Warzone in Killzone is some of the best online fun I know.

Apart from that, playing with other people in DayZ and trying out crazy mod campaigns in L4D2.

That's pretty much all I've ever extensively played online anyway. Everything else is just uninteresting.

I don't really play a ton of multiplayer games anymore, but anything like gun game in Black Ops 1 and 2 is always fun. Especially in CS:GO, though I think that's called arms race or something.
